But since Dominion's ownership is all messed up and the game is virtually unplayable, this is a good substitute. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,613 376 83 #3 Talbs, Feb 19, 2019 Yes it does seem this game plays very similar to dominon. I could be wrong but I don’t think the cards are exact copies although some of the base concepts of action points and coin points for spending to buy cards are there. ...it’s not a bad little game at all, quite fun, though it feels a little incomplete; I can’t find a way to save offline/AI games. This is a show stopper for me. The UI is lacklustre. One bad press and you’ve bought a card you didn’t want. I’ll certainly be watching to see if this improves. Oh how I miss the old original Dominion app we had back in the 32 bit days. And I’m not talking about that rubbish from goku or whatever they were. There was a version that basically had scanned in copies of the cards and the game was fully coded and laid out and could be played against AI. I miss it so bad. Hauskater and Son of Anarchy like this. Bladejay Well-Known Member Apr 18, 2013 45 2 8 #4 Bladejay, Feb 24, 2019 I just tried my first online game and found a problem with the timers. My timer was much shorter than my opponents and never went up. My opponents, despite being larger to begin with, increased in time with certain actions. As a result, I lost due to a timeout. Is this a bug, intentional, something that scales with player level? For the total game time, you get extra time whenever you make a move and at the end of your turn. It sounds like you know that you can see your timer if you open up the Realm. The game time is shown as numbers, and if it isn't increasing when you do either, then there is a bug. For the per interaction time, you get a total of 2 minutes. Each time you click on something with regards to game play (e.g. make a move, click "done") this timer resets. The per interaction time is shown to the left of the game time as an hour glass that is slowly emptying. Perhaps the this is the timer that ended your game? If you need more time on a turn, just make sure to do one interaction within this time. The game will sound a warning when you only have 30 or so seconds left. Hope this helps! While closer to Dominion than any other deck builder out there, it still has a number of unique mechanics. Now with 7 little expansions (each one adds some 10 cards or so based lossely on some region's mythos (countries like Germany, China, Japan, and Scotttland to name just a few). Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,613 376 83 #7 Talbs, Mar 26, 2019 I know I’m not “anyone else” as I’ve already commented, but yes it is much like dominion, but just with terrible graphics and a stuck on theme. It’s never going to come on to my play list until offline play gets a save feature. Pretty basic. And from what I’ve played online, I think some portion (big or small) of online matches are just against bots. I just tested one out by taking very very rude turn lengths, laying cards out one by one each with like a minute long break between and as soon as I ended my turn, every time, the opponent went seemlessly straight away. I don’t really care as I’m not one for online contention but it certainly seems AI bot like FYI. They've released a few new sets since your last post and I do find it compelling. While much of this is clearly a Dominion clone, 1 of its more novel mechanics is that of the "Realm", a sort of side board useless victory point cards can be stored or buildings placed that offer the player on call abilities regardless of cards currently in hand. I guess dropping their usual regional theme to add this big 1 full of ghosts and ghouls. It also introduces a new mechanic, Chill. When anybody plays most of the undead creatures, all of the other players will accumulate Chill points, and once one gets 8 points of Chill, they're gifted an annoying Graveyard to their deck and their Chill is reset to 0. A Graveyard is worth -1 vp plus, if you rightfully banish it from your deck, your next turn's draw will be short a couple of cards.
