Thread kinda got misinterpreted. I hate hitler as much as the next guy, trust me. And Germans, yes they hate him to. I more or less have a retardly disturbing sense of humour. Thought what my son was doing, was downright hilarious to me and I felt to share it hahahha.

@Wundaii thanks man, he knows he's cute too. Gets away with too much ^.^

I guess it's easier to say that sitting behind a computer across an ocean, as it would be for me being on the other side of the country, but I doubt you would have the balls to say that in NY. Or maybe you would, and maybe it's not balls just ignorance.

And yes hanging on to tragic pasts and reveling in self-pity aren't very attractive, so I agree with you there. :)

@Booch and yah I stated, I don't know your sense of humor ect. ect. so, anyway open forum open discussion I guess - I get you though.

Why do you hate Germans for something that happened 70 years ago?

I'm mixed with straight black and German.

Hitler may have had a some very cruel intentions and carried them out in grotesque ways...however

Man has always desired power and always will. No man has come as close to ruling this entire planet than him. It took a lot....a lot of sacrifice, follow through and persuasion and that only means one thing....

Hitler has got balls!!! Take on the whole world balls

Failed he did (making the killings even more senseless) but you have to respect the power he accrued. Before he was the führer (I think I misspelled) he was a German soldier of fortune. Every time he spoke to the masses they listened, either out of fear or respect....he knew the only way was by force.

If he had his way, I guarantee we wouldn't be in this forum right now, so I'm am thankful he failed. But he does have respect from me...because he significantly changed history.

Distorting that wax exhibit was disrespectful to history, the artists that spend months recreating a pivotal moment in history. I can see why Germans would think it's taboo, I don't think there is one person in Germany with the name hitler anymore.....but the exhibit is about education.

The way I understood it, he's saying he hates Hitler and that Germans hate Hitler as well.

He's not saying he hates Germans.

    @Booch

Yes, pic is hilarious(and cute). If I had caught my son doing that, I would've taken a pic too haha.

Dude, I don't understand how anybody even saw this as offensive.

It's obviously a joke based on your diction and included picture (not sarcasm).

I think people these days are just a tad too used to being politically correct, so they don't know what's real and what's a joke. Kinda sad if you ask me.

I don't think you want to start up this conversation here, but I agree.

However Hitler did not amass power through brute force, he did it through extraordinarily crafted public speeches.

That's why Obama was compared to Hitler during his campaign --He had the same ability to entrance and capture the nation during his debates and speeches.

You serious? He was just a charismatic puppet, the real brains were those pulling the strings behind the curtain. Also f**k that statue, it really doesn't mean anything. Nor does the time they spent making it. And there are a few others who kicked ass a lot better, Alexander the Great practically ruled the world before he was in his 30's.

We've had terrorism too. More recently in fact. It's just that when you compare nations it seems the US likes to make a bigger deal of a tragedy than everyone else. I mean... obviously it's a big deal, but you can't dwell on it forever, ten years has passed since then. You mention 9/11 on most forums and 99% of the time some American dude still feels the need to roast the hell out of you as though it happened last night. In his own home. To his sister.

I love the fact you treat your son in this way - for amusement of others! Excellent XD

Thanks for all the funnier reaction comments guys. Didn't mean to spark up a 9/11 / Hitler whore-off. And thanks for the comments on his cuteness. He really is my little bundle of joy. ^.^

@Registeel Yeah he is just as much of a farty pants as his father is.

@Mindfield hahahaah awesome picture. I am beat there.

@Epox hahaha that's what we said! If he was smiling of laughing or something that would be funny, but the expression on his face looks so much funnier.

@Lord-Sam Hell yeah! I can imagine he is going to be an entertainer or a musician. Everything he does he almost expects a reaction from us now. He likes attention. But at least he can play on his own good too. I dunno. He's a really good kid.

I think part of the problem is that, with the exception of Pearl Harbor, the United States hasn't really had a direct attack on U.S. soil. Ever. Unless you want to count the Revolutionary War. It was sort of a wake-up call to a lot of people that the United States isn't always protected from foreign attack.

I wasn't really old enough to understand what that meant at the time, but now that I do, I don't really like when it's joked about, either. Sorry. Call me a prideful American or what-have-you, but I don't feel like humor about such things is really appropriate when so many families lost husbands, wives, etc. and still are living with that loss.

I don't feel hatred toward those of Islamic faith, either. I shake my head in shame whenever I see the "Remember 9/11: No Mosque at Ground Zero" billboard over the local interstate.

I guess it's just a sore spot for me.

My son is 20 months old and can't talk yet. However, if he's angry he can make a speech that could come straight out of a Leni Riefenstahl flick. Oh yeah, my wife is Austrian so that could explain it. Btw I see I'm not the only one making pictures to keep for when he's 16. Makes puberty a lot easier if you have leverage :D
