I have to press the sleep button multiple times to turn off my iPod.
Anyone know how to make it to turn off in one press?
I have a Jailbroken iPod Touch 2nd Generation with 3.0 Software

Assuming you got sb settings, all you have to do is to go under the power catagory and hit lock.

Otherwise can't really help you with your button issue....

Okay, now it doesn't work AT ALL.
I can't take screenshots from my iPod anymore!

My friend's iPod's sleep button broke because he pushed it in too much, and held too much pressure on it.

I have the exact same problem on my IPod Touch 4th Generation!

I have the exact same issue but worse! Now I can't even use the volumes adjustment buttons on my Jailbroken IPod Touch 4th Generation! In addition to that, I cannot turn off my IPod!!! :'( Is there any way for fixing this on a Jailbroken device? What's worse is, what'll happen if I never get to turn it off?

Yeah it seems that that happens a lot. My iPod has the same issue and I have to press really hard on the power button to get it to lock. I'm sorry I can't help you. I would try googling some solutions

    The cure has been found!!!

I found this solution from YouTube!
The proble could be moisture getting into the buttons. So all you needed to do is to suck the moisture out of the buttons with your mouth! I tried this and it worked!!! :D try to find your solutions on YouTube first because everybody posts instructions on how to fix stuff and checking out YouTube really has helped me out with a majority of my problems so you may thank me but also thank god for YouTube!!! Right behind you.
If it is moisture/water try sealing you iPod in a bag of rice overnight.
