These are the game I'm gonna try to get. GoldenEye 007, Kirby's Epic Yawn, Epic Mickey, Metroid Triliogy, Metroid: Other M, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
The only games I want that are exclusively from Nintendo right now are Metroid Trilogy, Metroid: Other M, Goldeneye, and possibly the new Zelda game, since I'm a pretty big Zelda fan. And as far as games I want Nintendo to make, all I want is a sequel to Metroid Fusion and a new Paper Mario that's actually an RPG.
... so they're making a LoZ: Ocarina of Time for the 3DS, as well as Starfox and Metal Gear Solid... There is NO way I'm not getting a 3DS.
Well Trilogy is propably going to be hard to find because it's a collector's edition (glad I got it early) and according to Nintendo's E3 website a new Paper Mario (or remake, I can't really tell) is coming to the 3DS.
Holy crap! A new Paper Mario, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, and a bunch of other games on the 3DS!?!?!?!? I'm buying one launch day, I don't give a crap about price.
Unfortunately not. Those were two things people were hoping Nintendo would reveal but I guess we'll have to wait a little longer
Wasn't previously wanting a 3DS, but the game line-up is fantastic, with Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid (more mature titles as opposed to Mario and Metroid all the freakin' time) and some great RPGs. The only Wii title I'm looking forward to is enough to dust off my Wii and get a new sensor bar is the new Zelda game. Maybe Donkey Kong, and I'll probably pick up SMG 2 as well. Let's see how much in giftcards I'll need. 1 3DS: roughly $250 3 3DS games at $40 each: $120 2 360 games including Crysis 2: $120 2 Wii games, Zelda and DK: $100 $590 (factor in 7% tax)= $632. Oh man... that's a lot. Why can't I pursue a cheaper hobby, like stamp collecting or something.
Skip the Wii games. Also, I think the 3DS will be more expensive than 250 bucks-its a revolutionary product, and Nintendo is not known for cheap sales. I'm thinking around 300
I dunno. Yes, it's revolutionary (well, that word's kinda tacked on, non-glasses 3D is a big deal, but not that big a deal) but Nintendo's always wanted to appeal to a broad market, and they do that by keeping their hardware relatively low in price, which makes them sell even more like hotcakes. Reasonable price + great product with amazing marketing (not that they need it) is the ultimate combo. I doubt I'd be able to skip Zelda for the Wii thought... and crap, I haven't gotten the MotionPlus add-on for the WiiMote. Goddamn.
why not how revolutionary? It's nothing ENTIRELY new, plus Nintendo's consoles were always cheaper than the xbox and sony's. And when the DS was first released it was only $150, and the DSi now is I think $170? And the Wii itself was $250, would the 3DS cost that much? If you end up being right about the price I think it'd be a turn off for me
And that's basically the reason I want a 3DS so badly. I'm sick of the only M rated games worth getting being Resident Evil and Dementium (as far as I know, there may be more). The mature linup is really going to separate the 3DS from past Nintendo consoles. The only two systems that really had as many "mature" games were the SNES (due to all of the awesome RPG's) and the Gamecube (which had plenty of good games that I'd label mature, like Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness, etc. But man, Snake Eater? I'm still amazed by that.
Yeah, Gamecube is really cheap. It may not be overly popular, and it had a pretty small amount of great games, but when a Gamecube game was great, it was INSANE. In fact, I'm playing one of my favorite Gamecube games (1080 Avalanche) as I type this.
First thing I'm doing when I get my Wii is playing Tales of Symphonia all over again and no the terrible sequel, the original.
