Ability to create shortcuts to settings on home screen When an app is purchased the app store does not return to the top of this list Unlikely but I would love to be able to record any sound played on the phone Landscape orientation lock The ability to share music samples without the need for iTunes or syncing of multiple devices. Easier text editing Landscape home screen like iPad
Fold to Unlock would be cool! Oh wait a minute iLifeTouch submitted a universal version for IOS 2 days ago.
Jailbreak and get all those features. Apple is far to restrictive, either their way or android. They make great products but the consumer needs more freedom with device customization and functionality.
Add user accounts and profiles (settings & email etc per user) + ability to make things accessible to all users. Search function to show which screen an icon is on. Ability to stop unwanted upgrades which are in progress. Ability to hide unwanted upgrades. eg: apps you're not currently playing so don't need to upgrade yet. Ability to view all screens/icons as an alphabetical list. Kiddie mode - stops kids from exiting and changing apps, accessing notifications, etc. With ability to specify which apps will run in that mode, plus easy for adults to turn off. Different backgrounds per screen. Tap time to open calendar. Tap iPad label (top left) to open settings. Faster way to clear all apps on the task bar. Ability to delete an app on one device, so it will be removed from iTunes and all other IOS devices.
The ability to scroll down on the springboard. In the settings we should be able to toggle apps for verticle or horizontal scrolling.
GameCenter profiles with easy (no password entry) switching between them, with saves tied to the profile. I.e. make it work like the Xbox.
Everything apple pledges to never do-access to the file system, non apple-approved apps, real multitasking, etc. If only android was as powerful, didn't have the fragmentation issues and had the awesome AppStore and iTunes that iOS has then I'd switch to that. But for now, android is a bad joke in the tablet department lol.
I think it would be awesome to have two apps running side by side. Not one in the background, I mean literally side by side. Then, you could watch YouTube videos while browsing the Internet etc. Or, if you were playing a turn based game online, you could do something else while you wait for your opponent to make their move. You could do it by double clicking the home button (bringing up the task bar), holding down on the apps (like you would to close them) and drag them down, or to a specific area. I think it should be limited to only 2 apps though. The only issue would be working out the resolution of the apps, unless they add a scaling system like most computers have.
that would be so awesome.. i think it would fall on app developers shoulders to make their apps "support split mode", but it will be very useful
If you're jail broken, use Quasar. Full windowed browsing for everything, pretty much identical to windows. Search on youtube for examples.
