With any electronics, power off and/or remove the battery. Completely cover in silica gel crystals. Can be purchased at retail stores as the crystal form of cat litter. Store brand is fine. Works quicker than rice but if you have white rice on hand you can try it, just nothing with flavoring or seasoning, the oils will do more damage to the electronic.
