For the past few days my computer has been freezing. So I emailed my father (who was at work at the time) about it. - We took a look and found that not only did it freeze but absolutely no application (internet or other) would not open. It was a pain in the ass, so I had to wipe my computer. It seemed to be from something that happened during updating to 10.6.4.
Not necessarily true, but I've had few programs freeze up on a Mac than on a PC. On a mac, once every two to three weeks. PC, every single damn day. Mac's aren't perfect, but PCs even less so.
I suggest getting an external Hard-drive and moving all the important stuff (from the mac) onto their, then rebuilding it.
Mac......Windows.......eh'........is all on how well the machines are taken care of. I've seen all kinds of computers with problems and most are from human error. Some people probably won't admit it and instead blame their model type of pc than their own inability to maintain a computer to keep it running problem free. (not specifically referring to op)
Nah, I had an Asus that worked great without having to defragment and clean it up too often, but then I got a couple of Dells that just slowed down no matter how much I tidied up the registry. Sometimes the combination of software and hardware is just fickle. No doubt you could easily **** up a Mac, though.
Your an idiot. For starters, we don't have the money because the economy was shoved down George Bush's ass.
Likewise I have both and have no problems with either. It's all about what you do and how you do it. If you know what you're doing, are diligent about maintaining virus/adware/spyware protection, install/uninstall stuff the proper way, don't go visiting questionable websites or opening questionable E-Mails, don't hack around with things if you aren't absolutely sure what the outcome will be, and generally take care of things, they'll probably run without (software) issues for ages. My Mac has had no problems that weren't related to my inexperience with it, and my Windows 7 install hasn't had a single issue since Beta 2. Most the problems people encounter are PEBKAC errors. The rest are either misbehaving software or, much less frequently, hardware.
