i've played both but i kinda like mw2 better cause of how many people play it. i do like the desrtuible environment thoe, so whats your pick?
I've never actually played Bad Company 2, half because I hate EA's new thing about the used games having to pay 10 bucks to play online... I think Skate 3 will be my last EA game unless they make something great, like a new Burnout. That said, if Bad Company 2 is like the first, I'll be putting in my vote for Modern Warfare 2.
Battlefield doesn't have the additional charge for online gaming does it? I thought the first game to incorporate this was UFC 2010.
Oh, really? I guess not, since my friend was playing his cousin's copy online, but my other friends said otherwise, so I'm not sure. Regardless, I won't be buying any new EA games unless they make something great, or doesn't involve online, like Dead Space 2. Let's not turn this into an EA Nation debate though. I'm sticking with Modern Warfare 2, just because I love the game.
Anything but MW2. But my freidn was telling me about black ops and Treyarch is improving everything that made this game complete shit! No noob tubers, kill streaks are now kill rewards (no streak required, thus less camping), kill rewards are weakened. I mean that sounds awesome!
Battlefield Bad company 2 fixes most of the stuff that was wrong with the first. You can play online, they just had some maps that came out right after it came out that you cant get unless you put in that VIP code. I like it more then MW2, mainly because it is not all about who can switch targets fastest and knows the whole map. Its sweet because just about ever game is different
I like both games for each for different reasons. MW 2 has way more polish and game modes but I love how BC 2 is focused on less camping and more teamwork Gameplay. If I had to choose I would probably go with BC2 because I love the destructible environments and don't really need to deal with with camping spots to get the edge in the game. So when a developer works on making a game for 18-24 months and people end up buying the game for 5 dollars or less used (plus the Gamestop discount card if you buy the game there) it kind of undermines all the passion and work they put into making a quality game. Game companies want to make some of this money back since they don't making anything off used sales and this is just the beginning. THQ followed along with this strategy starting with UFC and Ubisoft is thinking about doing the same with all their games. I believe this will eventually happen with every game publisher and they will do whatever it takes to limit used game sales.
Really?! No noob tubers!?! WOO! I'm buying this day one when it comes out, just so I can play the amazing new multiplayer! And thank God I got my Call of Duty 4 disc working... that game is in ways much better than MW2, although it may not have the same depth, it felt more balanced.
I cannot imagine how someone would think MW2 is better than bad company 2. Unless you have a lot of friends that play modern warfare 2 or something.
I like BBC2 because of the vehicle gameplay and destructible environments. MW2 is fun, but I'm just playing BBC2 now.
None of my friends play BFBC2 yet it's still far superior. MW2 constantly reminds you it's a game with things like camping, noob tubing etc... BFBC2 feels like a war. You're in the thick of it, shit is going down and for once in a multiplayer game you can actually stay alive for a long time if you try. The different classes play so differently to each other it's almost like having 4 games in one, and learning how each one plays requires vastly different tactics. The maps are huge (obviously, since there are vehicles including helicopters) yet the game does a great job at making them feel totally populated. In fact the first time I played the demo I was impressed at the map size, it was already bigger than an MW2 map, then we completed the objective and it suddenly opened up an entirely new area. The same happened again after the next objective. I don't know if that's standard for BF games but it was a welcome surprise to me. The thing I like most is the optional teamwork. I'm not gonna lie, there are situations where you get into a bad team and no one wants to help, they sit around the edge of the map sniping and the objectives don't get done... but even those can be fun. If you're good enough you can totally just go rambo and rush the objectives yourself, running through enemy lines dodging bullets and explosions, planting the bomb then hiding out somewhere until it detonates. Then of course you get the people who do like to team up. I don't play with a headset yet thanks to the squad system it's still fairly common to see a guy waiting around for me at the start to join him in a tank/truck/helicopter and then without any kind of communication going on at all we'll tag together the entire match, usually destroying the opposition. I loved CoD4 and played it religiously for a while, but it definitely felt like "just a game". BFBC2 just feels more action orientated and immersive, and does a much better job at making me feel like a total badass.
BFBC2. Because I hate getting killed by people in walls & javelin explosions. Infinity Ward screwed up the multiplayer.
Modern Warfare 2. I owned BFBC2 for about 2 weeks. At first, I liked it but then as I played more I started to hate it. It started feeling too complicated, I think I prefer the simplicity of MW2, where everyones pretty much on the same level by just having guns and there isn't much else to think about. It feels like a very pure, refined FPS (in same vein as Counter Strike 2), whereas I consider BFBC2 to be more of an action game. Although having said that, I do enjoy playing Battlefield 1943 from time to time, which is part of the reason that I thought I'd enjoy BFBC2, but I ended up hating it.
BFBC 2 ALL THE WAY. With the new patch released recently 99% of lag is gone and DICE is a dev that actually listens to their customers. Plus the game takes skill unlike MW2 where everybody blows a Search and Destroy match trying to go clutch Quick Scope and ends up failing. I played the piss out of MW2 logging 17 days of play time and got REALLY good but now nothing blows as much dick as MW2.
Never played BC2, but Modern Warfare 2 is a peer pressure game. You only get it because everybody else has it, not becuase its actaually fun. Sure, its fun to rain the pain on the other team, but most of the time its just cheap shots and the infamous CoD Lag.
I own both games and have spent countless hours on both. I have to give the edge to battlefield bad company 2. Battlefield is better in my opinion because of the destructable environment, guns, MUCH better graphics, and much more I just don't feel like typing them all. The only downside of battlefield is the number of maps. Hopefully that changes soon. Mw2 has many problems with it but it still is a great game! If ur thinking of buying one, save up and get both!!!
