ZombieTown has tried to implement that strategy of controls, I would be interested to know if anyone has tried that game and liked the Controls. Its a unique strategy but it might get in the way of getting into the Pyramid. And just to let everyone know, I am taking all of your opinions and idea's into consideration. I plan on implementing some of the things mentioned in this forum, immediately into the 1.5 Update which should be ready shortly after release. Keep giving ideas for weapons, I'm really enjoying that. By the way, I'm getting nervous, my app was submitted 5/22 and still no word from the mighty "APPLE". I'll keep everyone posted and thanks again for the support from Kris and other very kind individuals. KRIS - I'm still looking forward to that SPARTA update, I can't wait . Your game has so much potential, think Kung Fu 8-bit Nintendo style. That game was a hit for a reason. If anyone wants to know about Original side scrolling action games remember "Kung Fu" on 8 Bit Nintendo was crazy fun IMO. That was my first inspiration. The enemies were not hard to kill but it was just fun to beat them up. Thats what Mummy's Revenge is all about, having fun, jamming to some music, and staying excited with new weapons in each update.
Now your talkin. I can see it right now, when the melee weapon comes in, thats what your going to see.

Hey jb. You said that the controls of your game are different than those used in zombieville. I kinda like the controls of zombieville, can you explain the control scheme you chose for mummy's revenge?
For weapons, I would like to have a flamethrower. Instead of a machete, I think we should be able to kill some of the mummies and take their weapon, such as spear, axe... Maybe a flash grenade to stun them... but their mummies.. sooo.... i dont know
LOL I hope the bribe money was good until today, I'm getting anxious. I mean I was ready for a later release, but the nerves just act up a little. Zombieville has a Unique control system that I also enjoy, however for "Mummy's Revenge" I added the grenade and I wanted the standard control system where you could move with the left side of the device and shoot or throw grenades with the right side of the device. This created the same feel as if you were using a console game controller. Plus changing weapons is a lot easier, If you watch the video you can see the controls in action. Thanks Shocked, I think the flame thrower is in for sure in the 1.5 update, the dual magnum pistols, with shooting in both directions is in. And the other 3 are still up for grabs. Ya, to make a poll, go to the top where you choose the page, and near their should be a box called: Thread Tools. Click it and from their you should be able to find out how to add a poll

Thanks Vinny Thanks Vinny, I did read your post it was very encouraging and you are absolutely correct about the type of developer I am. I'm dedicated to the gamers and thats all of you. Here is the response to your requests: 1 - There is a M16 type of gun in the game already, so people should like that 2 - I'll definitely consider a power up of some type, I wonder how the Hero would get that power up, I was thinking if he got through a level untouched he would build his special meter and then he could use the special meter to have a special move. What do you think? 3 - Perks - I'm assuming you mean like speed up or quick weapon reload. 4 - I'm planning on adding endless mode, since survival is already in there, with no store of course just depending on Pyramids and dead enemies mostly bosses for supplies. 5 - Campaign may not work in this version, Can you clarify how that may work for a game like this. I hope you're right about tomorrow for the release. If it is it'll be a busy day for me at Apptastic headquarters. Thanks again for the support and the kind words. Ok....lets see. 1. Sounds great then 2. For powerups, I was thinking on the lines of like, you kill a mummy and he drops one like invincibility or extra damage or something. It would give the game one of those "Oh shit. I just saved myself. Lucky I found that.." feeling if you know what I mean. 3. Yea....pretty much 4. Also sounds good... 5. This one's a biggie. This would really be encouraging for people to pay $3 or less. Basically, have the first few levels be short and only using basic weapons, and then, just have the campaign progress. Basically, give the users goals to do other than just stay alive in the levels. Like, find "this many" scarabs, or just survive. Just an idea. Improvise and see whatya come up with. That's what I'd do but I dont have a f*cking Mac (sorry for the language, I just get really pissed you need one for that cool Apple stuff....) Lol just see how it comes. Also, it shoulda been out by now :/ Oh well. Im still gonna buy it right away....
Mummy's Revenge Approved and Released "Mummy's Revenge" is now in the App Store: http://www.itunes.com/apps/mummysrevenge Here are some issues I am already aware of in regards to the game: 1) Audio has some volume issues. 2) Vibrate switch when activated on the iPhone causes a bug in the Hero's movement. An update has been submitted to fix these bugs. I do have another update planned for this month: 4 new weapons new backgrounds new enemy boss increased difficulty settings (Easy, Normal, and Hard) Thanks again for all your support.
