Discovered this game yesterday because of this thread and I haven't put it down since. Up to level 40 and at the last stage. I'm looking forward to future updates.
Ok I have made it up to King mode but I am also having the same problems with the achievements. They are just not being recognized and are not keeping track of the progress at all. I even thought maybe you had to kill 100 enemies with said character in one game and tried that so after killing 100 pigs with my knight on the first level still no achievement. That and I did not get the achievement for beating the final boss or unlocking prince mode even though I am done with it. Otherwise the game is excellent I just hope this problem is solved before I lose interest in the game.
We'll submit a game update in a couple of days where we'll fix the achievements posting bugs, we'll let you customize the size of the controls, some more minor tweaks and support for the iCade.
Sorry to add some harsher thoughts about the game but there is no way I am going to continue playing MK when SCB is outhere and I am going to explain why. I had started to express myself about the problem a few posts back and, as I get it more precisely , maybe my warnings ll get to you this time. I am still referring to the game being played on an iPod touch 4, don't know if those statements still stand for iPad versions : Before upgradables, beautiful graphs and so on (all of which MK added brilliantly to the original formula) what I am expecting from these kind of "Arcadian" games is this : perfect and irreproachable gameplay. While games like league of evil provide that kind of perfection on a digital interface (which you were inspired by correct me if I am wrong) MK is failing at reproducing the same irreprochability : - Input lag (command being executed after the input not at the same time) - framerates big drops causing all kinds of bugs ( from lag to bigger issue like "teleport lag " ) - hitbox problems ( I may be wrong on this) Every single play I have with MK is crippled by one of those issues, I am an old shmup arcade player dealing with Sanwa parts and I really can tell when you are encountering perfect conditions to have precise and perfect interaction with a demanding game regarding speed and skills. I never met one of those issues EVEN ONCE playing league of evil, you can be sure that SCB will try to attain perfection regarding these matters, please try to fix those, they are wasting your excellent game.
Don't worry, we'll try to fix those lags you mentioned. Those are just called 'performance optimizations'. The game controls are updated 50 times per second. It would really help if you could describe some more when you're seeing the lags you mentioned. Is it when there are too many enemies on the screen at the same time?
Well done! I tried this game and looks great! Well done guys.. I like your idea to mix Muffins with a Knight Keep up with the great work!!
The teleport lags usually happen to me once or twice a game. Sometimes it causes me to die, but usually not. The game will freeze for a second of two, registering my inputs but not showing the action onscreen. My characters will end up 'teleporting' somewhere else onscreen (where the inputs were telling him to go while the screen was frozen). This doesn't seem to be related to any number of enemies onscreen. Maybe syncing to Game Center?
It might be some background activity, like checking for emails or something like that. We try to only send out GameCenter stuff after the player dies (in the death screen with 'Tap to start')
Bought this immediately when it is featured as iphone game of the week and I love it!!!! This game is highly addictive!! Definitely recommend this to everybody. Have some concerns though: The game is lagging on ghost town level everytime I play. I didn't experience it in previous levels. Once when I'm quitting the game and return, it freezes - so that I have to close the app and starts it again.
No it s more random than that. In Ghost Town (a level quasi implayable at the présent state of the game btw) i even had new issues like after turning into a bull for the second Time the game interface simply disappeared... The game seems to become more and more unstable as I play longer games especially in ghost Town. I also feel the need of a 3rd button mixing jumping and firing at the same time, it s really tricky to do with the existent controls only Game center is definitely an issue popping whenever it wants, no matter if I am in the middle of a game or not, neither pausing it. the framerate is very low in GT and sometimes it seems like there is some bg activity slowing things down (though every other app is disabled)
Forgot to tell you guys, we submitted a game update this Tuesday. There are lots of minor fixes like: -iCade support (really nice integration, with full menu navigation and everything) -Better controls (you'll also be able to jump+shoot at the same time). -You'll be able to customize the controls size. -improved game performance -iPad2 optimizations -the dragon doesn't suck that much anymore (he does more damage now) -Achievements posting fixed -increased the difficulty for prince and king modes So watch for it, it should go live as soon as Apple reviews it.

I never thought the Dragon sucked, but whatever. Any chance of getting the online multi-player update out before the end of October?
