In the lava stage, you don't just have to get the 20 muffins.. you have to actually kill the boss It should definitely show you the victory message, in SinglePlayer.
I have 5 starred the first 3 levels and have 4 stars on the fourth. I also now have all the classes fully upgraded. My question is, what perks should I get first since haven't got any perks yet. Also do the perks make it any easier because the 4 th level is fairly hard to me without perks. I plan on 5 starring a level before moving on to the next, is that how this is supposed to be played in order to beat it?
No, you just need to unlock all the levels to get to the boss stage. As for perks, yeah they make it easier, especially when used in the right stage (Pit Respawn if it spawns you close enough to a high muffin location, double jump for the tall Windmill stage, Monster Hopper for concentrated areas. Monster Hopper, Double Jump and Pit Respawn are my most used. And you can't choose which perks to get first, they come in order.
I don't know what has been said so far, but since there wasn't any kind of bombs (ok the birds eggs exploded but i meant real bombs ) i was thinking what if you did a character that kicks a bomb when you press the attack button. The bomb continues to roll and bounce off the walls for a certain amount of time (could be upgraded) or until it hits an enemy and explodes. The radius of the explosion could also be upgraded. Just a thought
That's a great idea! I like how it behaves (bouncing and rolling) and the kick idea (not simply another projectile shooting out).
What exactly happens when you beat the boss as prince? Cos i just completed the first round and only got a crown above my character. Is the "special" at the end of the prince level exciting enough to keep me playing?
By the way, I haven't played multiplayer yet since I have none else around for local matchups. Anybody have any improvements about that? And does anybody have ideas for new stages? I don't know what the secret is, but here's what the devs had to say about it:
So I beat the game as a boy, became a prince. Then I beat the game as a prince (silver crown), and became a king. I JUST beat the game as a king (yellow crown), and at the end it just asks if i want to be a boy or a king (like it did when I was a prince) I never encountered any extras or new things on each run through, and difficulty seemed the same. Am I missing something? How come I never experienced any extra/special things?
Way to ruin it.... No there is nothing after king i beat the boss as king the same day that i got king and i even reset again to see if you got a bigger bonus: you don't.
Ruin it?? Ruin it?? Angry mob posted here and said themselves that there was a special surprise! and claimed they were holding back saying it as to not spoil it... So I beat the game 3 times after that comment very excited (I love the game!) and went through confusion and double-thinking....for nothing?? How is this on ME?
Rofl settle down its just a game... Unless we are both missing something then the king was the surprise.
I'm not even owning the game (since I still see it as a - although very well done - SCB ripoff) but clearly understood it this way. The kind is the surprise.
