You don't have to do anything.. the iCloud saving just works by itself. Anytime you play and die, all your stats for that 'Player Slot' are sent to iCloud. Then, each time you enter the main menu (launch the game), from any device, the iCloud data updates your local saved game. You need iOS5 and internet access, of course
I also have the problem with iCloud and achievements not registering properly. I read what happens if you pick Prince in the 1st ending. PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTIONS! 1) Do u have to re-unlock all the characters and their skills in Prince mode? 2) So what happens or are there any incentives in staying as boy? 3) I bought the 25 points at USD$3. If I restart as Prince, does that mean my 25 points is forever gone? Or will I be awarded 25 points at the start for each game? Thanks a lot. Great game btw.
1) When you go to Prince mode, you start all over, but the enemies and levels are more challenging. You also gain bonus XP, plus a nice crown to show off in online matches 2) If you stay as a boy, you don't loose your progress 3) The points get reset too. In the next update, we'll change that, so you won't lose them.
Dear GuerrillaBob, is it possible to add an update to the game for the iControlpad? Currently the shoot button is the left shoulder button behind this device. Could you please add an option in the setting to also include a mapping of the "OG" keypress button as shoot for us iControlpad users? (top right button on the iCade) Also the screen does not rotate orientation on the iPhone when the device is turned over. It works on the iPad however. Odd.... Anyway, thank you for a great game. I have hours in it for $.99. Unreal.
Thanks for your prompt reply. I guess I shall stay as a boy first, while waiting for the update so I don't lose the points which I bought, while attempting to complete some of the achievements at lower difficulty level. I reckoned if I choose to stay as a boy, I can at anytime choose to become a prince by completing the last stage again right? But once I go prince,I can't go back to boy? Thanks again.
Okay, here are some ideas for alternate arena modes. Filter through them and see what you think. A Blessing And A Curse (version A) - both players start off as Knight. A fairy flies around the level (with Tinkerbell fairydust sprinkling around), slows down and settles down in a random area. This fairy can either be good or bad. Sometimes two can appear in a level at the same time. The idea is that if you grab a good fairy you get "blessed" with a random temporary perk on yourself. If you grab a bad fairy your opponent gets "hexed" with a random disadvantage. Bless: - huge circle aura that kill all enemies that touch it. Duration for 3-5 seconds. - all red enemies turn normal (I was thinking rain could fall, cooling them off) - enemies don't spawn for 10 seconds - muffins drift towards you - good fairy start roaming the level randomly killing enemies for 10 seconds Curse: - enemies all change direction to target opponent for 5 seconds - opponent is stuck in place for 5 seconds. He can still turn left and right and attack. - opponent is stunned - opponent is stuck in his current character for the next 5 muffin grabs. Or stuck as the knight. - all enemies turn red - more enemies added - muffins drift away from opponent - bad fairy starts targeting opponent and harasses him, stunning him, etc. A Blessing And A Curse (version B) Same scenario as before with one exception: if Player 1 grabs fairy, Player 2 has 5 seconds to grab a fairy to stop the bless/ curse. The fairy mechanic is from an idea for a perk I had a couple months ago: --- Musical Chairs (version A) - When player grabs muffins, opponents switch places. meaning you can stall someone by staying dangerously near enemies when you think someone is near a muffin, so that he dies when he spawns. Musical Chairs (version B) - Opponent characters switch positions every 10 seconds. This means that every time the timer nears zero, players have to choose whether to go for broke and grab a muffin, or if they think they can't make it, run away from the muffin and towards enemies so as to trap the other player when the teleport swap occurs. --- RagaMuffins - Everytime opponent grabs muffin, he is slower but for 5 seconds his attacks are able to kill his opponent in addition to enemies. This should cause some back and forth tension as the other opponent has to run around trying to evade the "ragamuffin", or trying to grab a muffin himself. Enemies only stun in this mode (like getting hit with a banana). First to 5 kills wins. There should be some pulsating glow, arrow or some other indicator to alert everyone who has the ragamuffin boost.
Thanks again, Arta, for the great ideas. The rules you mentioned would probably need some tutorial, so everybody would understand what's going on. They would also require some pretty big changes/additions to our existing networking code, and that could take a while. We've got a new CO-OP mode planned for the 1.5 update. Each player would pick their muffin. So the local player would pick the red muffin, and the remote player would pick the blue muffin. The score adds up. When somebody dies, the other player will be able to revive him by picking the other muffin type (so, to revive the remote player, you'd have to pick up the blue muffin, instead of the red one) This multiplayer mode should be fun, especially if you end up playing with somebody who's not as skilled as you, or even more skilled than you are. With the current Versus mode, it's not that fun when GameCenter randomly picks a bad player. There's a lot more coming too, in 1.4, but we'll tell you about it a bit later. If you'd like an early build, just let me know.
BTW, Muffin Knight just went live on the Mac AppStore: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/muffin-knight/id480747664?mt=12
Is there any other 'rank' after dark lord? If not will there be a new one added? I would find it cool if you would get to be a god after the dark lord and you could assume the shape of one character only but that would be probably to unfair
Mighty Dark Lord Hi, I've got a problem. I'm mighty dark lord, and every time I beatthe lava level I get asked if I want to become a dark lord...of course not- this must be a glitch, there is no point in downgrading, is there? When will we see more difficulty levels? Thanks
^^^ So what are the benefits of becoming a mighty dark lord? I have upgraded, and the dark lord multiplier is the same!
