Pac-Man CE, I can understand, but an old arcade game like this should be sold in a bundle (as they often are on consoles). I'm not cheap - just being realistic. The Metal Slug games are usually $3.99, but they offer a substantial more depth and content than arcade games like these. one.sixty.four Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2013 1,282 0 0 minnesota #25 one.sixty.four, Apr 30, 2013 one.sixty.four Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2013 1,282 0 0 minnesota #26 one.sixty.four, Apr 30, 2013 Last edited: May 1, 2013 5 dollars for unlimited plays is a bargain compared to 25c per game at a arcade. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #27 nightc1, Apr 30, 2013 Got te notification that there was a new message in my Starbucks app. Yep, it was for this game. Nice. I do not have any stores near me and don't have an account either. Just installed the app during the last promotion in prep for the next one. Glad it paid off. As for Ms Pac-man vs other arcade games... I see no point comparing classic arcade games from the early 80's to those of the 90's like Metal Slug. They all have their merits as solid arcade gaming experiences. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #28 awp69, May 1, 2013 I suppose if you look at that way. I guess I just think with these games the novelty wears off quick -- at least for me. That's why I mentioned Pac-Man CE since it adds a lot to the formula and mixes up things. Believe me I pumped a lot of quarters into these games. Game collection apps like Atari Collection, you can buy packs that have the original arcade games like Centipede for .99 or an entire collection for $10 is a better value. Midway Arcade has 10 arcade games for $1.99. I'm an old gamer so I do have nostalgia for a lot of these games, but like I said, it's more of a fun little flashback. So that's why I think $5 is a little steep for one original arcade game. But that's just IMO. Remakes (that are good like Pac-man CE) are different. Last I checked, i couldn't restore the purchases from my phone on my ipad. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #32 awp69, May 1, 2013 Last edited: May 1, 2013 Not sure. I got it when they were doing the big freebie thing to celebrate its anniversary or something. But I was looking at the current IAPs and it still looks like its $9.99 to unlock all 99 games and then there are 4-packs of various games for $.99 each. EDIT: Reading the reviews, it sounds like they changed it to tickets, but it's confusing. The description says you can either by all the games for $9.99, buy packs for $.99 OR use tickets to play, which says you don't have to use for packs you've purchased. I never updated my version (it's on my iPod Touch 2G so it wouldn't even be compatible with the newest update). Either way, it sucks that you can't restore your purchases.
