I put a lot of effort into the ruleset. In particular, you can earn a geometrically progressing end-of-round bonus multiplier for spelling long words. Also, letters are worth different amounts (based on Scrabble scoring). These can be doubled or tripled by collecting one or two double blocks. There are also count blocks which lose a point each time they are moved. Also, I think the physics interactions are pleasant to look at: It's ad-supported, with a single IAP that gets you two additional play modes, custom themes, and ad removal. Really cool game mechanics, most of which I've seen in other games (whose names I can't immediately recall), but Moving Type artfully combines the best elements of these games and bundles them into a nice, challenging package. The mechanics were designed to emphasize strategic thinking, not quick fingers. I'm curious how high a score people can get; the points get a little bonkers with really long words. Thanks for the purchase and the kind words. Yes, timers are pretty lame IMO . The mechanics were designed to emphasize strategic thinking, not quick fingers. I'm curious how high a score people can get; the points get a little bonkers with really long words.
