Y'know, it's a damn shame Heath Ledger died AND this is Chris Nolan's last Batman film. I would've loved to see The Joker return, this time with Harley Quinn... :\
My gf went to the midnight screening of The Dark Knight Returns (suck it, other time zones ). Apparently it was so good the whole theater applauded. I'm going to see it on Saturday.
Wtf! Our midnight premiere is tomorrow night. About to watch Batman Begins and The Dark Knight again.
Batman Begins wasn't what I remembered it to be at all, lol. I think this is the first time I've rewatched BB actually. It's normally TDK that's always playing on TV. Watching The Dark Knight tomorrow, and then catching TDKR at midnight. Should be sick. So pumped. Going to end up buying Arkham City GOTYE (360)..not sure why I sold the original AC.
Ordered my tickets to go see TDKR tomorrow!!! WOOHOO!!!! I think I'll like this movie even over the Avengers!!!
So the theatre showing the trilogy gave us posters and a batman lanyard. This is gonna be a sweet night.
Damn, that's pretty cool. Have a good time, haha. Just finished watching TDK at home. Gordon's epilogue never gets old. TDK will always be one of the best movies from the past decade. So pumped for tonight.
The Dark Knight Rises was EPIC. Nothig short of incredible. One of the greatest films I have ever seen.
There just isn't anywhere for modern superhero series to go besides down after the precedent set by the Batman trilogy. While I felt that TDK was a better film overall, TDKR was a great finale. It was more like BB: less action, lots of building up. The dark tone of the film is beyond memorable. There are a few nice twists in this one too. The pacing was strange at times, but it's nearly a three hour movie. Beyond that, the ending couldn't have been more appropriate or perfect. Not sure there are any other midnight premieres worth attending in the near future. Might have to go catch TDKR again..this time in IMAX. Christopher Nolan gets the job done, time and again. This tops The Avengers by far in my book, at least. Kind of getting tired of superhero films where half the movie feels like a comedy. The trailer for Man of Steel? I'm in. Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anne Hathaway. Yep. I really enjoyed the few scenes Alfred had in the film as well. Also, his bike.
TDKR was amazing! Not sure if it trumps TDK though since Bane had nowhere near the same amount of presence that the Joker did. Also really sad what happened in Denver.
TDKR was good, but I had higher expectations for it. Spoiler The middle really slowed down the pacing of the film, and it didn't really do anything for it, aside from letting Bruce heal. The end with you know who, who becomes (hinted at) you know who. I'll have to see it again. I think this is one of those films that you can't really appreciate it fully until you notice and understand everything. So far (seeing it once, as is) I give it a 3/5 out of 5. As it stands: Dark Knight > Begins > Rises. My condolences and prayers go out to the family and loved ones of this recent tragedy.
