The Amazing Spider-Man was very good. It ranks as my second fav Spidey movie behind Spider-Man 2. The 3d effects were really good from middle to end- IMAX 3d eye candy. Now I wait for The Dark Knight Rises. Possibly check out the 3AM showing-- *wonders if there will be a huge line after the 12AM one*
I'm not sure.. I usually watch IMAX 3d or regular showings and never to regular 3d but I would think it is almost the same (?) Better than MIB 3, Prometheus and Underworld Awakening, And on par with Avengers in terms of depth. But definitely the best this year in terms of pop-out moments.
Yeah, I typically don't enjoy 3D movies anymore. The 3D in The Avengers was more of a hindrance than an enhancement, IMO.
Saw Prometheus yesterday. The narrative had a few bumps, but I thought it was brilliant overall. Very dark tone, well shot, and it had some intriguing ideas. And it was refreshing to see an R-rated sci-fi in the theaters again. I'm getting so tired of everything being PG-13.
Just saw Spider-Man, and it was AMAZING. Joking aside, it's awesome. Go see it now, you won't regret it. One of the best, if not the best, movie this year so far... (until 2 weeks that is). The story was better then the last two, but falls behind the first one, in that category. The action was by far the best of all 4 movies, the character development was great, the acting was great. Andrew Garfield > Tobey Maguire
Was planning on seeing TASM tomorrow with my gf, but my family wanted to go today after dinner. We haven't all gone to a film together since Avatar (2009). Let's just say that I'm pleasantly surprised. Even the 3D was good. A new cast and direction made for an excellent reboot that's actually worth spending the money to see. There's no way this will flop in the box office, so we can expect a sequel for sure. I'm actually pretty excited for it after seeing the final scene in the credits. The technology used to produce the movie is just incredible compared to the original Spider-Man from a decade ago. While the plot is pretty familiar and iffy at times, the action in the film is excellent. Not sure Gwen beats MJ, but that's a story for another day.. Who knows, I might just make another trip to the theaters tomorrow as planned with my gf and see it again along with Madagascar 3 before heading out to see fireworks. We'll see. I've never watched the same movie twice before in theaters. TDKR: two and a half weeks. Hell yes. Looks good: Total Recall, Wreck-It Ralph (HOLY CRAP), Ice Age 4 In conclusion, see TASM soon.
I saw TASM tonight as well. I'm not a huge Spider-man fan, so I went in expecting something.. not so great. To my surprise, it was really good. I definitely prefer this cast over the previous (always disliked Toby Maguire ). Though, I'm not too crazy about Emma Stone being blonde.
Have to disagree with you there, I like her with blonde hair. I'll probably see Spidey tonight, so just to clear things up, there IS a scene after the credits?
Yep, well, within the ending credits at least. After the scene I saw, there was still the black-background-white-font credits, but perhaps there was even something after that.
Nah, I think there was only one ending scene this time. Looked it up on the internet after I got home, lol.
