3D's is turning more and more into just a gimmick. Heck, The Avengers in 3D wasn't even that impressive, I probably enjoyed it more in 2D.
MIB 3 was fun to watch. Definitely better than the second one. And 3D is awesome! There are some really good ones. GI Joe doesn't seem like it needed it but only because Battleship failed so poorly-- Same can be said with The Green Hornet and Priest. Wasted money on those blu-ray 3Ds :/
Finally going back to the theaters next week. Haven't seen anything this summer yet besides The Avengers, damn. Nothing recently has really interested me after reading the reviews, heh. Seeing Prometheus and Madagascar 3 a week from now though!
Just saw The Change-Up on HBO. Missed it last summer after the poor ratings, but it turned out to be one of the best comedies I've seen in the past few years. Edit: More of a funny at the time thing though. Plot was as generic as could be. Humor was a little too crude (all bathroom jokes, meh). I just want to see Prometheus already.
I just watched Iron Sky expected something very cheesy and scy fy channel like but I actually really liked the film. True Nazis from the moon can't ever be a serious film but it was enjoyable and much better than I expected even pretty deep in places. Trailer for those with no clue what I'm talking about
Just started watching Ben Stiller's The Cable Guy starring Jim Carrey. Released back in 1996 I think... Anyone seen it? Any good?
Prometheus and Madagascar 3 today! Can't believe how bad every movie since The Avengers has been rated. Wasn't interested enough in anything to bother seeing it. Was expecting to go to the movies nearly every week this summer, lol. Only seen The Avengers so far. That was day one of break, 4 weeks ago.
Just saw Prometheus, and well... it was good, but it was your standard "Alien" movie. I only saw it, because quite frankly, there is NOT anything else in theaters to see. I can't wait for Spider-Man, I have high hopes for it. July 20th though....
About Prometheus, I have to admit that despite a couple of interesting scenes, I was massively disappointed by this movie. The plot holes, nonsensical character actions, bad dialogue, false camaraderie, unmemorable characters... it's just... bad. I want to punch Damon Lindelof in the face, cause I see a lot of his bad habits from Lost in this movie.
Couldn't agree more... David was awesome though. Every movie I've seen this summer has been decent-- The Avengers was very excellent, MIB 3 was good, and SWATH was good. Can't wait for Spider-man and The Dark Knight Rises. Spoiler I heard that moon/planet in Alien was not the one in this one. Can anyone confirm this?
