Well if i had to choose between Tintin and Rango i would definitely pick Tintin. though both are good movies but i loved Tintin more.
Has anyone here watched the new movie about Sherlock Holmes? Would you recommend watching it, or should I better choose something else to watch?
If you liked the first movie, I'd recommend watching the sequel. If not, well it's mostly more of the same so...
I didn't particularly like this did you? I thought it was slow, disjointed (in a bad way) and really not intricate at all. It just felt like there should have been more to it, it was just so face value and shallow. The characters were even shallow and predictable imo. Anyway, I am not normally a movie snob, but I thought this one was just not very good. Oldman and all the other actors were fine, but the direction and screenplay were bad.
Yeah the girl with the dragon tattoo was great. I watched too many films last year but oddly enough I pick Drive as my film of the year- I didn't like it that much at first but I understand now ha, anyway contraband was awful so don't see that.. If anyone was wondering.
Damn, I must've missed this thread. I'm a huge movie buff. It's hard for me to pick my faves, but here goes: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 3:10 to Yuma Inglorious Basterds Warrior Lord of the Flies The Shawshank Redemption 127 Hours Donnie Darko Fight Club Limitless Saving Private Ryan Brokeback Mountain (yeah, judge me) Schindler's List The Prestige TV Shows Game of Thrones The Pacific Adventure Time Spartacus The Walking Dead South Park True Blood The Big Bang Theory Prison Break Life Planet Earth Lost Heroes Jericho Futurama Haven't watched too much TV lately, but there hasn't been too much of anything good anyways, IMO. I did check out the premier of Alcatraz and it was actually pretty good. .
Saw The Grey and absolutely loved it. The trailer was utter bullshit for misrepresenting the movie though. It's not a balls out action movie and it's not purely a gritty Survival B movie, it's a lot more contemplative on how you face nature and death.
About to watch Contagion and The Ides of March. Redboxed them with the gf xD. Missed them in theaters since they came out right when college started, I believe. Deciding to see two out of the following four next week in theaters: The Grey, Chronicle, The Vow, and Safe House. Most likely going to end up seeing the latter two.
Holy shit, The Ides of March was excellent. Ryan Gosling really proves how competent of an actor he is with this powerhouse performance. One of the best films I've seen in the past year, and I've pretty much seen them all. Wish I caught it in theaters. Too bad the film nor Gosling were able to win anything at the GG. Contagion was clever in how the plot progressed. Pretty generic stuff though for this type of movie.
I watched the new Harold and Kumar this morning. Definitely not as funny as the other two, but still a good watch. And yesterday i watched The Rum Diary. They dumbed down a bit of the violence and the shenanigans Chenault gets into, but apart from that it captured the vibe of the book really well, imo.
there's this movie, i haven't seen it yet my friend recommended it like escapist thing or something 'inside i'm dancing' gonna watch it as soon as i can _____________ mp4 to mp3 http://mp4tomp3##############/
Last movie I saw was "Source Code". It was okay, but could have been quite a bit more exciting and action-packed, I think. Somehow it seemed to me as if the movie didn't quite unfold all its potential. Good flick but not essential.
