It's actually 4 and a half, figuring in both movies. I think they could easily represent ONE book in that time.
I agree but still quite like the harry potter series including the new film. A real eye opener for me though was this book cover Haven''t read it but it looks pretty clear Rowling did.
So what if it's taken aspects of something else. LotR is from ancient mythology. Inheritance is blatantly star wars. It doesn't make them bad.
It's just not as fun when you've read it all before. To give it merit it'd need to be seriously well-written, which it isn't really.
Rewatched one film from the Lord of the Rings trilogy each day for the past three days. Just finished watching Return of the King. Pretty pumped for when The Hobbit comes out now. It's definitely another one of my favorite series. The movies actually live up to the books to a good degree.
My favourite of the books was the Silmarillion. I am hoping since they are releasing the Hobit as a movie, they will do the same for the Sil.
I did that a few weeks ago (all extended editions I hadn't seen) I'm also slowly working through the bond movies in order I'm up to the living daylights which is about the 15th of around 23 so that's quite a task.
I went three the original star wars over the last three days. I love doing a series of things. Did it for HP before last Thursday.
That was freaking epic. FPS (first person spiderman) looks so cool. It really was like mirrors edge. Has there been any word on whos the villian in the movie??
My main problem with the Spiderman reboot is how pointless it is. It hasn't come back with new dynamic effects or a new take on the story or costume. It hasn't brought anything new to the table at all. And although that is normally a bad thing, most reboots happen several decades after the franchise has died, not a year or two later. This needs something new, or you may as well just watch the original 3. Which were all good films (the third one not so much), with a great cast, effects and take on the Spiderman mythos.
