I haven't seen either yet, I assumed the original would be along the line of the usual Harold and Kumar/American Pie/"guyz getting drunk and masturbating is the funniest thing EVAR!" movie cliche we're seeing too much of these days, but friends of mine who also hate that type of film are telling me it's really good. Maybe I was wrong.

Saw Kung Fu Panda 2. Very good movie, much better than I expected from a sequel. It's not really as funny as the first movie, but the action scenes were very well done.

Hangover 2 was definitely some good stuff, and Bridesmaids was alright. Just got back. The characters in Hangover are really memorable to me for some reason, but yeah, definitely loved the second one as well. Favorite comedy series. Bridesmaids was better than I expected. Felt way too much like a chick flick though, meh.

Excited as hell for Kung Fu Panda 2 and X-Men: First Class tomorrow.

My sole problem with the Hangover was that everyone, and I mean EVERYONE Made it out to be the best movie ever made. Like the tip top of the funniest mountain. Completely and entirely epic. Right? So I was very excited to see it. Saw it... and was extremely disappointed. Sure it had a few laugh out loud funny parts, but it was just not that funny and "Epic" as everyone made it out to be. I know I am in the minority so I can't say much, but I really want my time back from having watched it. LOL. Step Brothers > The hangover.

The one great thing, as emphasised above, about the hangover was procrastinators got punished. It might not have been intended but it worked out that way.

Step Brothers was definitely one of the funniest movies I've seen... Not a big fan of Will Ferrell but the movie was very funny, surprisingly.

    @backtothis,
I think the box office for X-Men will be around $55-$70 million weekend. Thor had $65ish, Hangover II and Fast Five had around $85 million, and Pirates (which I think is a bigger movie fanbase-wise) had $90 million. The biggest movie of the year with high box office expectations in $100+ million range would probably be Harry Potter 7 part II, and maybe Transformers 3.

Shit, you said weekend. Just kidding then. You're probably correct then. I was thinking about the first five days.

    Oh.

I can't see X-Men on IMAX. Pirates is taking over it for another week. How disappointing

EDIT: New trailer for Rise of the Planet of the Apes looks good. There's also a new trailer for the remake of Dragon Tattoo.

Saw the trailer today in theaters. Definitely looks interesting.

X-Men is so freaking badass. I'd say it's better than all four of the other X-Men flims (1-3 + Origins). The two hours and a half went by really fast, no joke. Really liked how it's not just action scene after action scene. Very interesting seeing how everything began, having never read the stories/comics. Saw Kung Fu Panda 2 as well. Never been a huge fan of Dreamworks. Can't say I am one now either. Let's leave it at that. Can't wait for Cars 2 though..Pixar for the win.

Hopefully, Super 8 and Green Lantern won't disappoint..being the next two big films that are coming out.

First Class was indeed badass. I loved the cameo. It was done perfectly.

Hangman 2 was pretty sweet. It's a pity they guessed the word wrong in the end. :p

X-Men was incredible. Rose Byrne is possibly the most beautiful woman alive. Hangover wasn't funny. Well made. Btw, a script is being written for Hangover 3, not filming and Hangover grossed over 100m and Pirates was very close. X-Men won't gross as much because of lack of big actors like Jackman.

Incorrect Hugh jackman was in it. And James mcavoy, Michael fassbender, January jones, Kevin bacon are all pretty big.

Wrong again matey. Jackman was uncredited and in it for 10ish seconds. The others are all second tier actors, with not much appeal to a casual movie goer.

Jackman is uncredited. Therefore, unless you saw stories on the web, you dint know he was in it. Plus, who would pay ten dollars for ten seconds of Jackman? We are talking about the box office. I said "no big stars" and you said "Jackman" except like I said uncredited and 10 seconds. So your wrong because Jackman doesn't count as a box office draw for this movie, like you said.
    Understand now?

Only 56 M for X-Men...ouch. Bleh, the stars are indeed missing I guess.
