I did stay after the credits. In Marvel's style, they put a clip at the end of the credits teasing the events of the next superhero film. I didn't get it at first (haven't really been educated in the ways of graphic novels), but upon research I learned it was for Captain America. It'll be interesting to see how they tie Captain America, a film set in WWII, in with the rest of the series, especially The Avengers for next year.
Nope. Haven't seen the other movies you listed... I want to watch Source Code though. I wanted Sif and Thor to have some kind of thing together but it was used up for Jane Foster, which I didn't like. I think the end credits show the cosmic cube. Infinite power and wishes granted. Loki definitely loves that. @backtothis, You forgot about the Transformers 3 trailer. That and Super 8 trailers were very awesome!
I just saw The Hangover: Part II. Amazing, absolutely funny. Movie critics gave it a bad rating because it was the same movie again, well - it is, but the comedy is still there and so is the great story. Every time I see a good movie, I can't help but search to see if there'll be another. It turns out that with the huge success this weekend - the biggest opening of all time I believe - the cast (and producers, I think) are up for another. Great news.
I'm surprised that Hangover part II did so well at the box office. I thought Kung Fu Panda 2 would do better but it didn't. Hangover movie was okay. There were a lot of Spoiler male genitals being shown lol. I hope Allan gets a girl in the Hangover part III and with a different story . Kung Fu Panda 2 was good for a sequel but too much of the hand drawn scenes. A little too dramatic near the end.
It was the biggest memorial day weekend opening ever. An I'm the same. Critics said it's the same and stories not grey but to be honest I didn't care. I wanted to laugh and I did.
Just watched The Hangover again xD. Going tomorrow to see the second one and Bridesmaid. Going Friday to see Kung Fu Panda 2 and X-Men: First Class (most excited for this one). Woot.
I'm surprised that X-Men: First Class is getting rave reviews... I was expecting something along the lines of Wolverine and X3, both of which were horrible. I'm guessing 91% on rotten tomatoes and $65 box office weekend. Probably see this on IMAX. And then sneak into Bridesmaids
I've always loved the series, heh. Predicting the weekend to exceed over $100 million. It'll probably be around 90%-95% on RT, yeah.
I still don't know why people thought that. It's almost like people never heard of Matthew Vaughan, james macavoy, Michael fassbender andany other great people in the the movie. I was always looking forward to it and yet not many were.
First Class looks amazing, though. And it has a completely different set of people behind it, as Walsh mentioned.
Meek's Cutoff is totally worth your time. Fantastic movie. The ending is cause for discussion, though. My wife thought it was a cop-out at first, but I didn't think it was. I couldn't put my finger on it until later, though. The ending occurs when who is in charge changes. Anyway, it's a tense, albeit slow paced, revisionist western. Slow-paced, but not boring, because the stakes are really high throughout. It's a challenging movie in a number of ways, I should note, perhaps most notably that sometimes it is hard to hear what the men are saying... because you are with the women, and they are back a way from the men. But that makes you feel like you are right there with them. Really a pretty fantastic film if you are interested in something different and definitely the kind of movie that will have you talking about it afterward.
Heard they are already filming for the next Hangover Part 3. Considering I hated the first, and have no desire to see the second, I am included to simply smfh.
