I don't think it's a terrible idea. There have been films about entrepreneurs and how they amassed their fortunes before, it's only because this one is internet-related it's somehow seen as a geek movie. I suppose the actual subject of how one kid managed to make so much money is a little interesting, but it really needs to be executed just right to make it work.
I saw The Hole 3D with the Service Users at work. They crapped themselves hahaha. These people are over 30 BTW!
bad idea or not the movie is ranking in millions of $$$ and the #1 movie in Canada, in the end, it is all about the money.
Yeah, I guess that's true. I haven't really seen any films about entrepreneurs' successes, so that might be why I'm not too interested. But it's received great reviews. I was planning on seeing it from Netfilx later anyway.
Finally saw "The Social Network" after months of casual dismissal. It's a great movie. Took me months of getting over the fact of watching a Facebook movie. I was afraid of some lame voyeurism of the trendy Facebook culture but it turned out to be an examination of the business decisions of the folks behind a profitable business and a great idea. I also liked how there aren't necessarily bad guys trying to rob each other, just people with their own vices and hangups that result in petty grudges that happen to moves millions of shares and dollars from each other. Well directed (by David Fincher no less), well written, well acted. Only personal annoyance is the trope of movie "smart characters" who can only talk if they're reciting entire conversations at blazing speeds and without missing a beat. Cause that just results in me missing out on dialogue as they speed through it. Good shit. Watch this instead of that Gordan Gekko sequel crap.
Maybe it's you that sucks? Justtt kidding. I watching Pang Ho Cheung's Dream Home last night, best slasher movie ever.
I'm looking for the "Like" button underneath this post, but it doesn't seem to be there. Hold on, I'll try again... Sorted.
anyone here ever seen Showdown in little tokyo? It's from the 80s, super violent. Stars some really muscular guy and Brandon Lee. Kind of crazy but quite entertaining as it feels like the ovie never ends.
