Just went to see The Expendables and holy mother of god the bits with the machine-gun/shotgun/wtf-is-that-thing in the climax scenes is the most epic thing ever.

There is no movie called "the bastards". I think you might mean "Inglourious Basterds" in which case, you should probably leave this thread and possibly forum forever. You obviously don't like great movies for some stupid reason, so go back to watching your "Transformers: revenge of the fallen" and leave us smart folk to the good movies. This one just happens to be the 78th highest ranked movie on imdb, so it is pretty much universally loved. Also, Quentin tarantino is probably the best filmmaker ever.

    You are wrong.

    I din't love it either
Not the regular tarantino movie, Loved KillBill 1 & 2...
It was an o.k. movie,*a few PpL say that the opening was kick ass, I found it just mediocre, the men talk for like 8 mins & then the suspense?

I wasn't bowled over by Inglourious Basterds either. It was decent but nothing amazing. As for "the men talk for like 8 mins & then the suspense?", Kill Bill 2 had way too much boring dialogue and then no suspense whatsoever.

I've been piss poor with movies lately. Didn't even watch Scott Pilgrim this weekend.

Man I cant wait for the town. I was looking forward to it after reading the fall season preview and now I saw the trailer in the cinema on saturday. It looks so good. And after Gone Baby Gone, Im very much in favour of Afflecks directing.

Just sucks that he's been nominated for Oscars, Emmys, and DGA's multiple times and has never won any of them.... He's a good man.

Very sad stuff man, I guess the least we are left with are some excellent films that still out class most of today's material.

Never saw City of God but I have been spamming this thread several pages back that everyone must see Trainspotting. Such a great and tragic movie.

I really hate it when a great movie comes out on DVD/BR and it has crappy extra features.
