Transendence wasn't that good, watchable if only for Johnny Depp and Paul Bettany but they're both better than the movie itself.

I actually did like the ending. SPOILERS FOLLOW:
I think the main point of the film was Locke's resolution to not make the same mistakes that his father made. The whole movie is him trying to correct a mistake he made and set things right on all points, and not just walk away from it, like his dad did. Remember him talking about setting the Locke name straight and all that? But by it ending like it did, and the last thing he said to his father, "Now I know why you run away." (or something to that effect) he admits that he's just like his father, and he couldn't break the cycle, so he just drives away, thereby bringing his character arc (I thought) to a complete circle. That's how I viewed it anyway, so I was satisfied with the ending, it made sense, to me anyway. :p

The movie wasn't perfect, however, some of the dialogue might have been a litle stinted, I'll admit that, but I think Hardy did a great job carrying the movie. Maybe not as good as Robert Redford in All is Lost (and he did it without any dialogue! I'd recommend that one, if you haven't seen it yet, and enjoy movies in the same vein as Locke) but all in all, it was a solid film.

    Agreed.

Just came back from watching Expendables 3 and Into The Storm. The former was pretty much what you'd expect, except maybe even not as good as the first two. It was fun seeing Gibson and Banderas in the mix. They added a lot. But the movie itself was meh. The latter was a decent little disaster movie, but nothing too special.

Saw Transformers over the weekend. I hate to say it but i was bored. The pacing was SO slow. And how can they top the last movie? They can't. It's all getting same samey.

Ah, heck yeah!! I hope I get a chance to catch it in the theater again. Thankfully it has some box office legs and should crest 300 million before it's all over.

  15. Loved the movie Guardians of the Galaxy and now waiting for The Maze Runner.

Hoping Guardian of the Galaxy's success will allow for a US release of Slither (a sci-fi horror homage from same director).
