    47 Ronin (2013 movie)

Seen "47 Ronin" (2013 movie) with Keanu Reaves... overall it was pretty good Japanese fantasy movie, with some good acting + ending. worth seeing! ;) 4 out 5 StarS! [**** ]

The Superman sequel has a new title!

It's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

    Seriously...

Really? No one has commented about Godzilla yet? I take that as a sign it didn't live up to the hype.

    X-men in ~2 days!

Godzilla was really great IMO. Great cinematography and visual storytelling. I'm glad that it looks like a sequel is coming.

I really enjoyed X-men: Days or Future Past too, it was filled with inside jokes/references and intelligently scripted without as much popcorn action as one might expect. Days of Future Past did a great job of tying together all the Xmen films.

What I read is that Evans is signed up for Godzilla 2 and maybe 3, but first he's directing one of the Star Wars spinoff films

Agreed, my favorite of the series as yet. Starting an X-Men movie thread.

I think He is doing one spinoff. And he has also signed onto TWO more Godzilla films. This is gonna be awesome.

I finally caught Godzilla and liked it despite all the stupid talking and silly plot; Godzilla is a movie about imagery but some jerk decided to shoehorn a bunch of absurd watered down plot in. The Japanese scientist guy didn't have the gravitas to carry the dramatic lines he delivered. Hopefully Godzilla 2 brings more smashing and less gabbing.

MOVIE SPOILERS - They killed off the best actors way too early. Also, it seems like they just decided Godzilla was good on a whim in the middle of the movie explained only by Japanese guys' random spiritual belief that Godzilla stabilizes nature (which somehow means helping mankind). The main character surviving from Japan to San Francisco was way too distancing, in a move about giant lizards that bit stood out as implausible.
END SPOILER - Boo to happy endings, that one totally sucked by hammering the nails in the coffin of the already weak plot

  17. I never get why people try to shoehorn in a plot into movies like that...I don't want to see "true love finding it's way through impossible circumstances" or anything sappy and ridiculous like that, I just want to see things get blown up and/or giant monsters/robots beating the crap out of each other

As you can probably tell, I am still yet to see the Godzilla movie

Honestly the writing for this movie was not good and I loved the movie. Hopefully they get a better writer for the next movie since I believe Max Borenstein isn't capable with coming up with a good Godzilla story.

I might go see Days of Future Past tomorrow... however, the only X-Men related movies I've seen are Origins: Wolverine and The Wolverine... do I need to watch anything before I see DOFP to understand it? Maybe First Class?
