I am pumped for it tough. The director's first film, MONSTERS, had a lot of heart to it. You could feel that there was something big going on. The trailers may be a bit 'in your face' but those moments are what the advertisers believe will sell the flick. Plus, showing off an emotional Cranston after Breaking Bad was hailed as the best thing on TV is way too juicy an oppritunity to miss. One more thing: Cranston said he signed on because of the script.
Yeah, Bryan Cranston is awesome. One of the best, IMO. Especially in Breaking Bad. And yeah, GotG does look good. Considering I know absolutely NOTHING about the comics.
X-men: Days of Future Past better do well; the world needs it to support the follow-up with Apocalypse that will rip us all a new one. Next year's Age of Ultron seems to be shaping up nicely too. Godzilla is iconic; but is he really cooler than Gamera? Yes, this Gamera \/ Monsters was a reasonable film, that gives me more hope about lizard remakes. If Cranston likes the script that's good enough for me (but I did have to Google who Cranston was).
I saw it, Raid 1 was much better. Watched Flatliners finally yesterday , very good movie with stellar acting crew ( Sutherland, Julia Roberts , Bacon and Baldwin )
New Star Wars! Now there's something to be excited about! Never before did I suspect I'd see Mark Hamill (legendary for voice acting, if not as Skywalker) and Max Von Sydow in the same film.
Lets see if I can get the latest trailer up now properly. Edit : YEAH! Thanks whitewolf, qouting your post showed me how to do it.
Just saw The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Not too shabby, the tone was definitely erratic and the plot was inconsistent, but the performances were excellent, especially by Garfield and Stone.
Curiously how would you rank Amazing Spider-man 2 reletive the prior recent Spider-Man films (1-3, Amazing 1)? I'm excited to see it. Edit: Here's my ranking so far - Spiderman 2, Spiderman 1, Amazing Spiderman 1, Spiderman 3
Same, didn't like much about it it except the performances. Enjoyed TASM 1 more, though the first two of the "original" trilogy are easily my favorites.
Just finished watching what appears to have been an English 2 part mini series remake of The Day of the Triffids on blu-ray, it was a good example of why people shouldn't try to reinvent a story for the hell of it. Absolutely horrible and not a patch on previous attempts.
Saw Blue Ruin tonight. It's a great indie revenge thriller with loads of suspense and fine acting by a great cast of unknowns. If it's playing near you, it's definitely worth a trip to the theater. It's certified fresh on rotten tomatoes with a 95%. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/blue_ruin/
12 years a slave just saw "12 Years A Slave" it was a true story and won best picture of the year. thought it moved along slow and didn't give enough details in time / family at the end. overall was little dull, could have picked a better movie for best picture. feel that Roots TV mini series was so much better. Overall 2.5 out 5 stars, skip and wait for tv/cable showing
Godzilla yeah it looks pretty good - like he's going to destroy the whole city, just hope they don't have people and vehicles out running Godzilla, or the city falling around them (so fake) read online that many don't like the new look of fat Godzilla and would rather have the slimmer T-Rex look. I don't care as long as he destroys alot and comes back more evil in part 2! was surprised to see all the dvd-screeners online of the movie already, but I guess when it's released in China it bound to happen fast.
yep your right all fake spam, found a site that lists online group releases and none. just seen listed Amazing Spider-man 2 as a Cam source release that had a nfo url preview pic http://i.imgur.com/fD7t78f.png
