Wow. Glad ya liked Pacific Rim. Great flick. I actually appericated the story. Especially the opening. That was great.
Yeah. Thought to myself, he is not goin to make it. Dagnabit!... Yall got me amped about Pacific Rim. I just watched two trailers. I gotta see it. Thankz Pan's Labrynth- can anybody tell me was i supposed to be angry throughout the whole movie?
Hey, it wasn't THAT bad. For a character driven narrative. Directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Starring Jaden Smith... Ok, ok. I actually didn't think it was irredeemably bad - there was that scene with the bird - but it's not something I'd want to watch again.
Well, the first three were all pretty bad, apparently. None of them were really a big film though. The rest should be promising. Will be seeing EG this weekend..
So I saw Bad Grandpa last night. It is hilarious! It's a prank comedy, with real people and reactions (like Borat), and it has a narrative (they tie the narrative into the pranks, and they connect some of the pranks together with scripted scenes). So funny. Go see it. Seriously. Really looking forward to Ender's Game. Hope it's good- has a fairly decent cast.
I can't wait for this. Big fan of the book, I just hope it can live up to it. Sadly, it appears in the trailer as if Harrison Ford gets more attention than Asa Butterfield, who plays the titular character.
Well, the script for the movie was originally meant to combine Ender's Game and the parallel story Ender's Shadow. Dunno if it actually happened or not though.
I saw Pacific Rim. And considering some of the negative buzz I heard about it, it was pretty neat, though I felt it ended just as it got interesting. After Earth though? That was really super painful. Such a slog and just seemed to have no energy despite fine visuals. I'd rather massage my head with a brick than sit through that again. And I saw a creepy film called We are what we are which had super mood and got under my skin a bit. Definitely one to watch if you like slow moving horror.
Sum Wall E Trivia 1.While waiting for a response from Eva. What is the videogame he plays? 2. On what planet do they get married and how does Number 5 accept the invite?*hint* when the credits finish rolling
I picked up Book of Eli from the library on a whim. Lulz, they missed so many opportunities for dark humor. Unique idea, but the Spoiler ending should've just been the shot at his eyes. Kunis as the next whatever-she's-supposed-to-be? Ugh no. Just no. . Also needed more gore. Add in some more character development on Oldman's character and perhaps Kunis' and it would've been a lot better. Still, I was entertained. Reminds me of mad max.
Pacific Rim was great. I'm not sure I heard much "negative buzz" about it. I saw Gravity yesterday. It was good, but the opening was a bit painfully stupid and the setting of the film is pretty confusing. I mean they are flying space shuttles (those are no more) and servicing Hubble (not happening again). Is this suppose to take place in the past? Weird. Still, once you get past that opening (also if you can look past lots of dumb aspects of the premise), it is certainly an entertaining ride and the visuals and sound design are amazing. Also Sandra Bullock was really good. Clooney was Clooney.
When I first heard of the movie a couple months ago I was like "This seems like a cool premise" then I saw Sandra Bullock was the lead role and I thought "Oh, nevermind, this is doomed." Then I saw the reviews.... Haha my assumption was wrong.
