Went to a friend's house last night and we rented Mud. Pretty solid drama. Had a Mark Twain-ish feel to it. Great performances, especially by McConaughey.
Saw The Conjuring with a friend today. Was pretty good. Good cinematography, good acting, and it's a horror movie you can take seriously- no cheesiness here. I didn't find it scary at all, but I never find anything meant to be scary to be scary. Would probably scare people that get scared by horror movies (which I honestly don't understand, because horror movies are so predictable and formulaic...). I know my friend found it scary- she was attached to my arm for the entire movie (and provided me with quite a few laughs). But yeah, good movie, and best horror movie I've seen in a while.
Same here about the horror movies. I've yet to see a horror movie that actually scared me. Been wanting to see The Conjuring, though.
I find most horror movies hilarious. Especially when anyone I happen to be watching them with is terrified the whole time.
Ninjack, please name me 3 movies that are one month new that you would recommend me to see. I think I will be going soon, and I wanna see the best of the best. Thanks bud!
I have actually seen nothing that new... been a while since I've been to the theaters, sorry. I've heard that The Wolverine is pretty good, haven't seen it though, so I can't say for sure.
