Deadpool, along with Wolverine, is my favorite comic book character. Is it because of his powers and skills? No, it's the fantastic humor that he exudes in the comics. I ended up slacking on his comic spinoff that came out a few years back, but it was fantastic, although I was never a HUGE Cable fan... It worked. He was a good foil for the Deadpool. But his strengths aren't superpowers. They aren't, ever, for any reason the stupidity in the design of Origns Deadpool. I wanted to throw a brick at the head of the creators for turning the character into a deformed joke. Seriously, a Deadpool that doesn't talk? Reynolds was a great casting move, and is stellar in his ability to play what I believe Deadpool is about... But not when they crap on the character like this. Ugh.
Well the good news is that Wolverine Orgins is no longer considered canon and the directors wished it never happened according to son random youtube comment. So anyone know if this is true? Also after the credits scene of Wolverine Orgins, Deadpool says "Shhhh" which means he can talk. Agree they ruined Deadpool in Wolverine Orgins.
Heading to see The Wolverine and 2 Guns! Edit: 2 Guns was a fun film. Washington and Wahlberg were great. Was laughing throughout the whole thing. Weak plot and writing though. The Wolverine was dark. Lots of good action scenes with some pretty obvious twists. Didnt really like the story here either.
Just saw Seven Pounds. The more I think about this movie, the more I like it. It's definitely a matter of taste, though. Some will say the plot is too implausible (which it kind of is), that it's too melancholy (which it is). It just so happens to be a mix that I enjoyed. I'm not saying it's the greatest movie ever, I just think it's a decent, well made film. Worth checking out, I guess.
Public Enemies was quite slow for a gangster movie. The storyline was alright. Nothing too special. Been a while since home movie night. Only Star Trek left to watch before I need to dig out a new pile.
Yeah, Public Enemies was solid. Nothing really extraordinary, but a decent, all-around solid film. Great performances. Especially by Depp.
So apparently there's rumors going around that out of all the actors WB is considering for Batman, Josh Brolin is the one they're eying right now.
Hmm. I think this could work. I haven't seen a lot of his movies, but the ones that I have seen, I've liked.
Yeah, I think he'd be good, but now they're saying that he probably wouldn't do it because of his recent divorce with Diane Lane. These are all rumors, of course.
I don't follow movie news. When I see a trailer on YouTube or on the theathers that's when I first hear about them. I don't follow the news of a movie without a trailer.
