I seriously hope they just let that spectacular trilogy rest in peace for at least 5 years. Nothing can top it, so anything they come up with will inevitably be a disappointment.
It's officially confirmed: it'll be a new rebooted Batman. That's good. Batman practically thrives on re-imaginings. I can't wait to see what they do with this. Although I believe Man Of Steel was very subpar, the one thing I liked about it is that it opened up a lot of possibilities. I'm interested to see how this pans out.
Yeah but I can tell you the plot in general right here: Evil villian that both Batman and Superman are tailing wreaks havoc. Batman and Superman decide to join forces to eliminate him, but only after a skirmish between the two that leaves no clear winner, to satisfy all fan bases. Superman and Batman take down villian, of course with Batman being truly superfluous due to Superman's powers. Probably w detective bit towards the beginning when they're trying to track him down. Evil Henchman escapes, plotting for revenge and even more havoc-wreaking. Part two coming next summer!
Turbo was almost exactly like the first Cars, but worse. They had some decent new ideas though. The characters were pretty well done. Pacific Rim felt fresh. Quite different from films in the same genre. The 3D was alright. Loud. Didn't feel either films were spectacular. Neither were bad. Hope Wolverine will be good.
I'm sorry you weren't more enthusiastic about Turbo. It did have a Cars meets Ratatouille vibe, but I still thought it was so funny and charming that I didn't mind at all, you know? The Wolverine looks and sounds way better than X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I liked that movie, but this new one... looks so much better Do you understand how much of a downer you are? :\
Zack Snyder is confirmed to be coming back to direct it, I believe. So the same director of Man of Steel.
Hey, you never know, he could be listening to the criticism of MOS and then he'll improve upon them with this movie Wait, has any director ever done that?
It's easy to get, and is on Netflix. The DVD is really, really basic with no extras, it's well worth renewing Hulu to get access to it, along with HONESTLY almmost the entire Criterion catalog. Grey Gardens is so weirdly wacky... It's just crazy. If you change your mind...! Metropolis - MUST WATCH. It's a film which defined the beginning of big budget scifi. Fritz Lang made something amazing here, and the fully restored version shows just how deep and complex the "silent movie" was. I watched it with the KTL score, and even purists agree that it elevates a great movie even higher. I normally say stick with what the creator wanted, but I honestly believe that the director would have wanted that score to be a part of it. And the film... No, just watch it. It's a simple, but complex, story and I've heard the book is excellent as well. Keep it with the KTL score. Fear and Desire is something with watching, I hope they release it at some point, though I don't know what they'd release it with. It's too short to justify a singular release. Ah well. At some point it'll come out
Very informative post though, at least for me. Would be checking out some of those films (when I have the time). Btw love Pacific Rim even if it's lacking in many aspects. Seeing live action of Patlabor/EVA vs 'Gozilla' is just too good for an anime lover.
Meh. Best Batman is Batman without any DC universe interaction. Bleh. Could be good, but still. I like the idea more than a Justice League movie though. Woof.
