Yeah I've seen it. Neither are as boring as World Trade Center though. Lowest rating I've ever given a movie.
Not seen that. I thought V/H/S was all right, even though I had a headache before I started watching it and the shakiness probably didn't help. Good enough for me to want to see the sequel anyway.
Rec 2 was good beacause of 1. The cameras were helmet mounted, hands free 2. The guys were commandos. Not you stupid horror movie cannon fodder. They knew how to fight, they only died if out of ammo or luck. 3. It had some pretty cool scenes.
ah based on a true story i thought it was interesting and little boring too..based on a true story. seems like it would be scary if it was real. BUT the real story is a real fake fraud! the mom was a scam artist and claimed her son was seeing spirits/possessed and all other crazy stuff happened. but in truth she was in a check scam and used her real sick son for her $ gain. an author who write the original book "in a dark place" was under contract and did interviews with the family over the phone etc. the sick son said there was nothing going on, and the mother kept cutting him off, and the dad told the writer to make something up, something scary so it sounds good. so he had to write a fake story, but from his interviews nothing added up. hence a book deal, tv true ghost episodes and a movie deal $$$! later the son died im his 20's and he left live audio recording talking about how he distanced himself from his mom and felt abandoned. it sounded so sad how she treated him like crap as a kid. the owners of the house before and after said there's nothing going on, house isn't haunted. the 2nd owner had to put up fences to ward off teenagers etc from trying to break in to check out the so-called haunted place. current family said they just want to be left alone. fake book / movie based on = a story of a fake haunting and a crappy mom!
Gatsby guess i'll wait for dvd. wasn;t planning on seeing it with a the resent bad reviews on tv. one said 1 hour too long and skip it!
Saw star trek and when the credits rolled I was very impressed. The sfx were top-notch and the performances were excellent especially by cumberbatch. That said, as i started thinking about it, more and more flaws were brought to light. the plot just felt shaky and even rushed (the movie definitely felt short for being over 2 hours). Don't get me wrong, it's a very enjoyable movie, but the plot was ultimately somewhat generic and (possible spoilers) Spoiler too focused on spitting out references to the original series but maybe that's just me.
Just saw Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I had been wanting to see that movie forever. Flippin' awesome movie. John Candy is awesome.
I saw pain and gain, peeples, and iron man 3 this past week. Iron man was pretty good, just some parts were kinda not realistic. Some really great scenes like fights. Overall rating, yeah, pretty good. Pain and gain, wow what a wacked movie, kinda like the TA chatroom at its worst. But man, it was kinda funny. Gotta believe that ninjack would like it cause of Rock. But man, it is wackazoid. Did like the movie, pretty good. Peeples, wasnt expecting that much. But had some really bad times in the TA chatroom this week, went to go see that, and it made me laugh. Don't know why, cause nothing about the movie was really exceptional, but I felt down about some of the wacked things going on in the TA's chatroom, and it made me smile. Highly recommended.
I never, ever thought I'd day this - but I miss Kenny. Anyone know what happened? On topic, no new movies and not much at all. Busy trying to get caught up on Arrested Development before the new season comes out. I have however, rewatched the Riddick series, though I somehow misplaced my copy of the animated Dark Fury tie in, I'd like to see that again. I'd forgotten so much of the film. Pitch black was far more clear in my mind. Though it could have much to do with the fact that while Chronicles wasn't as bad as critics said, it sure was a mess of a film. I find it similar to the matrix movies. The first was a bit complex but the following piles of dung just ruined everything that came before. I watched A Streetcar Named Desire, too. It wasn't bad, I think I was too distracted by a game of eclipse I had going with the AI. I need to watch All the President's Men, too. And The Exorcist. All unnecessary but awesome digibook purchases which are probably my last for a while as I await a few films that are very late in arriving (Army of Shadows and The Killing, I'm looking at you!)
About Kenny, there was some drama. PM me if you want details. The Exorcist and All the President's Men are both great films. Although I didn't think the Exorcist was as scary as many say it is.
