MY #1 movie is Pulp Fiction. Might not be a better movie than Godfather necessarily..

Actually for whatever reason, when I said that.. Just..

    Hang on.

Pulp Fiction > Godfather > Other Tarantino movies > everything else.

You haven't seen Road to Perdition either?

    Edit: And Pulp Fiction?

Indeed he is. Except his suit looked stupid in the Avengers.

I prefer Pulp Fiction to The Godfather.

It's the only reason worth knowing her, really. Unless this next one turns out good.

Just got out of the theater. Saw Iron Man 3... I'll put my thoughts in spoiler tags just in case anyone's super spoiler-sensitive.

I thought it was... underwhelming. Something felt off. What happened with The Mandarin felt like an anti-climax. Heck, even the end and how Killian was dispatched felt anti-climatic. I dunno, I guess I just expected more. It wasn't a bad movie necessarily, just didn't live up to the hype, IMO. The after-credits scene was awesome, though.

Would love to hear what you guys thought.

Pulp is a more energetic and "enjoyable" film. For example, 12 Angry Men is one of my top films of all time. I ENJOY Kill Bill more, but 12 Angry Men is the better film.

I feel the same about Godfather, although a bit part of me thinks I enjoy it more than PF, regardless of how much I love PF.

so what was the big hype there talking about to wait until the credits end at the movies?

  12. Wow, haven't seen you in the lounge mrbiggles. Hiyas.

I think I will see iron man 3 maybe next week. Too bad ninjackid didn't like it that much. Seems like 3 has a lot if hype. I am hoping for the best.

Just as a heads up, spoiler tags are negated when people get emails ;)

Thankfully my brain only reads but so far ahead, and I was able to stop seeing some things. Because, yeesh.

As for my thoughts on the iron fellow, I loved one, was way let down by 2 and I have a good inkling that I was greatly enjoy this one.

    Why?

If I haven't mentioned it before: Shane black. The guy who made Leathal Weapon awesome, the guy who made Kiss Kiss Bang bang, one of those sleeper hits that never gets old and just gets better the more you see it. The Last Boyscout "What, you just fell and your ****...", Last Action Hero, long Kiss Goodnight, and so on.

He is a god. He defined the 90s for me. He made this movie, and this movie I will see and I will enjoy.

Watched pitch black again tonight. What a great mediocre movie. It's far from perfect but it's absolutely excellent and I can't recommend it enough as cheesy popcorn fodder.

Kenny, you should give it a try!! ;)

Oh, so this time out business. Anyone want to explain it to me?

It's this vacation that Killjoy and Kenny seem to take often.

Yeah, great as a director he may be... I do not think he should've directed Iron Man 3. He tried too much to make it into an action comedy, but the "jokes" were unfunny most of the time, and got repetitive quickly. Watch the movie, though. I wanna hear what you think.

  19. Make that three

I watched Looper on the plane home last night...such an amazing movie when it isn't messing with my mind (99% of the time)

I'm not sure what will happen with my mind during Inception
