You'd need a bro hug too if ScarJo's sitcom was about to end after ten years.

Sofia Coppola is one of the reasons why the Godfather III was a terrible end to the saga. Among huge character issues, unrealistic ending, terribly flat characters, and the fact that Michael and Kay even THOUGHT about getting back together.

    "Daddy!" Or "Daadddy!??!??!!!" Or "....Daddy....?"

^if you remember the end of the movie you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

Django always deserves a second chance.

    So, suck it.

I watched Trainspotting again today with the commentary track on. It was so interesting how different those tracks are now versus back then. I'm just lucky that they were able to keep the Criterion track in place, since the rereleases usually don't keep the prior criterion commentaries.

Listening to some of the awesome stories, the many tributes to Kubrick, the fact that Kevin McKidd and Kelly MacDonald got their starts here, and heck even Ewan McGregor did since this was an extension of shallow grave..

Anyway, Trainspotting defined a huge part of my life after high school, and will always be one of my favorite films. So much awesomeness to it.

Mate, she was an actress in the film.

I'm talking about a film she's directing now.

All you know or care about is that she directed Lost in Translation. :p

Yes I know. I'm saying that when I hear her name the first thing I think of is her role in The Godfather III.

By the way, have you seen them?

No he hasn't. He hasn't seen anything involving this person except Lost in Translation, despite calling her his favorite director.

Been on my watch list for ages. Just never found the time to watch 'em cos they're so long.

I also don't plan on watching III, just I and II.

There is no way I'd say Coppola > Tarantino.

    No way.

Anyway, at least I've seen Road to Perdition. So yeah, stick that up ya :p

The amount of significant, amazing movies that I've seen that you haven't outweigh my not seeing whatever the hell Road to Perdition is

Beats the hell outta any Tarantino movie. Go watch them if you're capable of following a complex, unbelievable drama. It is among the best movies ever made. There's a reason why parts I & II are IMDb # 2 & #3 ;)

He seems to like fluff/popcorn munching movies. That's ok, but then I don't really care what he does and doesn't recommend.

    I did?

Yeah well. Most of the movies you've asked me to see I have. Think Shaun of the Dead, Tropic Thunder etc etc

So if you've got a list of movies that are awesome tell me! Because I love discovering new and awesome movies.

    Ah thanks for reminding me.

Didn't I say that I was gonna watch it, but then found out it was the Extended rather than Theatrical edition? And that it's better to watch the theatrical first? In any case, I'm getting it now, so thanks for reminding me :)
