Saw There Will Be Blood today. What an odd movie.

To those who've seen it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, especially on the ending.

Have had that on my watch list for ages since it has DDL in it but never got the chance to watch it. Will watch it tomorrow and let you know what I think.

In the mean time, watch Match Point please :)

I saw Borat yesterday. Now that was funny! :D

Loved it. Loved it VERY much.

Saw it in the theater and knew right away that it was an excellent film.

It's one of my favorite current films, and it is in my top movies list, uncommon for most movies in the last little while. It and No Country are 2 of the absolute best movies in the last long while.

DDL was amazing, the story was stressful and tense, I was never bored. The preacher was absolutely amazing, the scenes of his with DDL were stunning.

The cinematography was also mind blowing. It was a gorgeous film to watch and the music was great.

    As for the ending,
What were you wanting to discuss? DDL finally had his revenge on the preacher, whose constant, endless pushing and humiliation of DDL was repaid in full, and then some ;). I do admit DDL was an ass in how he treated the family from the get go, but Eli's abuse toward his son was his death warrant. By the time he destroyed him, Daniel's life was as empty and useless as his huge mansion. God I love that movie. I've seen it more than some of my favorite classics. PTA is one of the most creative directors out there. He can pull some amazing scenes from his actors. I love The Master for that.

    So that's that.

Oh, I forget if I said it but: WATCH INTOUCHABLES. NOW. NOW. NOW.

It's not a brilliant film, but it's bar none awesome and stupid amounts of fun. Stupid amounts. I haven't laughed that hard in a very, very long time.

I just knew you would have seen this movie , andsoitgoes! ;)

So yeah, I agree with you that the performances were superb, especially by DDL, but I just felt... well, I don't know what I felt by the ending. Like I knew what it meant and everything, it all made sense, but I guess I just didn't see it coming, that's all. :p

    Still a good movie, though.

    Heheh. But of course ;)

    Here's something I love that I enjoyed ad nauseum after the movie came out;

I loved the WTF of the ending. That monologue was so freaking amazing, and so perfect. So FU to him it was just balls out amazing. God, I can still hear the music while the fire was burning strong.

Interesting trivia: the guy who played DDL's assistant - Aberforth Dumbledore ;)

Speaking of that, Aberforth also is Mance Rayder from Game of Thrones

Bleh. The good ones were too large, and I couldn't be bothered resizing.

    Then watch Shutter.
