Yeah, I'd say it's worth a watch if you liked the first one. I personally think it's better than the first one.
To each his own I guess. Personally, I favor functionality over design. Changing CDs on a tray.. yuck! Like the good old multiple-floppy days. (somewhat related scene from Big Bang Theory, not embedding this because not sure it is cool with forum rules) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SczxwCSt1F8
Me too, which is why I quickly got bored of swapping 1TB HDDs over because they fill up too quickly with 1080p movies. Not to mention my Blu-ray player will play all discs, but my TV won't play all video file formats.
I'm even there with you. The set is tiny and really awesome. Though I remember buying the SUPER special first edition for my wife back when it released. Yes, the one with the bad ass bookmarks. If nothing else, those bookmarks are still the best thing ever created as an extra to a DVD release. I stopped at that one because the Gollumn was pretty just creepy, but the bookmarks are so frickin awesome. CDs and movies are separate beasts. The closest I had to a multi CD player for my movies was my dual disc DVD player, which lasted me forever and a day. But movies and music are not handed in the same way. You can easily listen to multiple CDs, and it's something we regularly do in the background. We don't get people around, sit them down and listen to an album. Movies are singular experiences and it's infrequent that we marathon them. TV shows, maybe and while I appreciate the ease of loading up am entire tv series on Netflix, I don't need that for my movies, very few people do. And those that do need movies chambered like that don't want them to be crappy in quality. I am teaching my kids the importance of physical copies. Books and movies primarily. It gives a sense of value to hold these things in ones hands. And nothing will reproduce the feeling of holding an actual book or loading a movie into a player, seeing the disc art, etc.
It was really cool. One of those movies where you feel like you're there. Most of the movie was meant to seem as if it was being recorded with the now-mandatory cameras on the police cars, and these guys little idea of cameras on their jackets. Lol Btw, if you want some Kendrick hotness, watch 50/50. There's also the benefit of Seth Rogen's humor, which is always good.
You mentioned 50/50 earlier, but I could never find a copy...it's on my watch list though. Might watch it on the Pad if and when I get it back
Saw Evil Dead and The Call this week, really enjoyed them. I needed the break after some stressful weeks. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
I love the original ED trilogy, so I'm kinda nervous about the remake. I've heard some good things, and I'm gonna try and view it as it's own thing rather than compare to the original. So much horror is disappointing these days... I want something to blow me away again.
That would be best. For the record I've never seen the ED trilogy, though I am aware of a good deal of their place in pop culture.
