I just added that to my watch list last night.. Looks good He fuggin is. Huge fan. Had my vote for best in 2012 too. Nothing beats Pulp Fiction and I love kill bill. Reservoir dogs is awesome. Django just kicks ass
Just saw Public Enemies. Solid film, great cast. I've actually never seen any of Tarantino's films. They're all on my list, though. Probably will watch Pulp Fiction first.
Might be better to start at the bottom and work your way up. Otherwise you just get to watch him becoming derivtive of himself.
I think pulp Fiction would be the best place to start. I think it's his best film, and has the most appeal out of anything he has created to date. As for PE, I was surprised at how mediocre it felt. I love Depp and Bale, hell Tommy from Snatch was in it. It had all the makings of being something excellent, but I felt bored. I think Mann is a really good director. Heat is great, as was Last of the Mohicans, but PE just felt meh. That's the best I can say about it.
I think Kill Bill is probably the easiest to get into, as it's pretty straight forward and the narrative explains most of it as it goes along. Not too much jumping back and forward through time. I really get the feeling with the later stuff that he kinda stops paying homage to old movies and starts paying homage to old Tarantino, which isn't as fun. Got my fingers crossed for Django though.
Recently saw 3:10 to Yuma & The Godfather Part II. Both very good. Yuma is a solid action film with a nice, believable twist at the end and the interaction between Bale and Crowe is a lot of fun to watch. The Godfather is, well, The Godfather. One of the best movies ever made. Interesting though, while less violent, this one is definitely a lot darker and ultimately very sad compared with the original.
Saw Hot Rod last night because Danny McBride is in it. It was pretty stupid, but McBride made it alright.
