I only got it cos they said it was a classic.

    Now I have my doubts...

So, Midian, what'd you think of Dewey Cox? Hilarious, right?

That's the same reason I bought it. I didn't expect it to be so slow. Most of the time he's on his own, barely any speech.

Yeah, it was awesome. I dunno why I waited so long. I might have to show it to a few people now.

Trainspotting is one of my favorite movies. As is the book. It's a weird and quirky film, though. Be prepared to have some WTF moments. It's fairly disturbing as well, but so brilliantly directed and written that I encourage anyone who isn't afraid of weird brilliance to see watch it.

Taxi Driver was okay, I can see why people love it so much but I don't care for most of the things done by Scorsese other than his newer stuff (and Gangs of New York) but I didn't really love it. Again, characters that have no redeeming qualities... It just doesn't sit well with me. But if you like Goodfellas and Raging Bull there's a good chance you'll like TD, though it is MUCH slower. The acting in Scorsese's films is the best you'll find, though, I'll give them that.

I'm watching X2 with the kids, I'd forgotten how fun the movie is. Nothing like Last Stand, but still very good. Better than the first I think. And god, I'm so glad Storm lost that stupid accent.

Yeah, Midian I think you and I have very similar tastes :)

I'd suggest Raging Bull or Goodfellas over Taxi Driver, which I DO still think is a good film, but it's not for everyone, including me and I don't mind slow films :)
