Dude, you are crapping on Canadians?!?! Uh, what? Though I do say Oz looks questionable. About the only reason I'd see it is with my kids. And then at least I can distract myself via my iPad Xmen - as a comic geek this is tough. I enjoyed the 1st one when it came out, but I find it a little lame now as time has gone on. First Class, however, was an amazing companion to the series. I am really frustrated that Vaughn isn't returning, he did an amazing job with the series, McAvoy and Fassbender MADE the show. And I don't get all the hoopla over Lawrence. I mean, I wouldn't kick her out for eating cookies or anything, but her cheekbones are freakish. Freakish. The Wolverine is another one I won't touch. Jackman is a good Logan, and I'll deal with him as needed in the X-Men movies, but while they could had taken the series to Japan and followed the original Miller story that made Wolverine who he is, they just couldn't handle that and are crapping out some convoluted mess. I didn't watch Origins (no, just no) and unless there is some magic afoot, I won't be sullying my years of loving Wolverine by watching a hack job. That said, seriously if you have not seen the X-Men films, you should be ashamed. Ashamed. Sadly, I saw the first Grown Ups when I was visiting my family in Chicago. I'll never get that time back. While I'm sure the majority of Sandler movies are worse, I wonder how he ever made good movies to stat with. He and Eddie Murphy, what happened? Beverly Hills Cop? Happy Gilmore? How did they go from really good films to giant turds? I'm confused. I can't remember what I watched last night. At all. I know I watched The Killing while I was exercising, but I was certain I watched something last night. Man I hate that. AH HA!! Now I remember. Do The Right Thing. I haven't seen it since the early 90s, and I don't remember if I watched the whole thing from start to finish, like ever. But I'll give it to Lee, he can create a really entertaining movie. I don't generally agree with him, I think he's a crappy actor, but I do think he has talent and DTRT was a very good film, the ending notwithstanding. Hell, I remember going with our entire high school to see Malcolm X in the 90s. I liked the movie, somewhat, but when we got back and the white teachers wanted to open up discussion about the subject matter... Oooooooooh girl I thought heads were going to ROLL! I felt so bad for our terribly white and unprepared teaching staff that tried to mediate that cluster truck!
Spoilers within: http://screenrant.com/oz-great-powerful-army-darkness-discussion-comparison-similarities/ But that solves the Oz problem, just go watch Army of Darkness instead, which is brilliant.
andsoitgoes, every time you post about movies, it reminds me of when i'm studying for an exam. I read and want to understand the material, but often have no idea what it means
Something about X-Men apparently being awesome instead of just average, because he's a biased comic book nerd
