Finally gonna watch 3:10 tonight. Didn't have subtitles the other night so didn't watch it, but I just downloaded them and now ready Btw, I do remember watching a Black and white film now: 12 Angry Men. That is a fantastic movie with probably the best dialogue you will ever see
The Godfather is/was one of the most influential movies ever made. Highly, highly recommended just because of that, but it's also a very good film to boot. I immensely enjoyed Part I and look forward to reading the book and watching the other two movies. Seriously guys, if you want a drama with some STELLAR acting and script, this is it.
It's on my list. I'll get to it eventually. But, here's the question; Godfather, Alien, or Shawshank Redemption first?
Aliens > Alien but only by the smallest margin. And they're both pretty different too, Alien is more horror sci-fi and Aliens is straight up action sci-fi.
While we're on the subject of the Alien movies... Skip Alien 3 & Resurrection. Don't touch the AvP movies. Skip Predators.
Depends on your mood, my favorite is Godfather, followed by Alien (I prefer alien of aliens), while the best is probably Shawshank. It's IMDB's highest rated movie for good reason
Depends. Are you in the mood for a drama, horror flick or a crime movie? Btw, imdb's top 3 movies are 1) Shawshank Redemption, 2) The Godfather Part I, 3) The Godfather part II. All three are excellent choices, though I prefer Aliens to Alien.
While we're going through IMDB's top movies, Pulp Fiction is fantastic, one of my favorite movies actually. I love everything by Quentin Tarantino. Kill Bill, and Django Unchained for instance..
Also worth noting: the Godfather is an old movie, from 1972. This means a very relaxed pace, with long scenes, lingering camera angles, focusing on what might seem mundane and even irrelevant at times: all this means a 3+ hour long movie. It works very well but be sure you have a large block of time set aside.
