Anyway, watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night.

Well, let's just say I haven't quite seen a film like that...

    Agreed, so many movies...

I had a brief flip through Sin City. Is it all black and white? It looked kinda scary in some parts, and why were there credits in the middle of the film???

    Look out your window.
Been wanting to see Eternal Sunshine as well

The black and white art style makes it so unique and awesome. Love it. But yeah, they very little color.

    It's not scary.

There aren't credits in the middle, dunno what you mean.

It's one of my favorite movies

    Tomorrow morning.

Don't know why it took me so long. Seen almost every other movie with SJ

There are a few fan edits of Sin City that cut the stories together in different ways, so if you "found" it online that might be why.

I see. It shouldn't differ much from the theatrical version I hope? Anyway, it's on my ever growing watch list.

I haven't seen it in ages, despite rating it highly, so I can't actually remember the exact order things happen in anyway. Great cinematography in places, really good use of CGI to get a comic book effect too. The script is completely cheesy but that's intentional as it's paying homage to the old 50s(?) detective theme and comic book writing in general.

Yeh I have heard pretty good things about it. One of the things that put me off though is the lack of colour. The same could be said about why I haven't watched Schindler's list yet, and many of the great classics for that matter.

Perhaps that'll change after I watch this.

Yeah it is a bit odd, but it's heavily stylized so it's not like any other B&W movie. There are lots of tricks used to get it looking like an ink drawing.

This shot for example: Link, because the image is huge

...uses special effects on the band aids in order to make it resemble this comic panel:

In a way it's more interesting if you've already seen the books, but I found it quite fascinating watching the behind the scenes stuff.

    Precisely.

It's a work of art. Totally enjoyable without reading the books. (I read the first one after watching the movie).

The cast is great too. Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, and lots of minor parts you'll recognize, like Elijah Wood

Sequel is coming out soon, looking forward to it.

Just saw Memento. It was the last Christopher Nolan film I hadn't seen yet. Man, what a movie.

It's funny you should mention Elijah Wood, he was in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind also :)

Does anyone think he looks a bit like Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter?

Nolan is magnificent, although I much preferred The Prestige (not just because of the magnificent SJ), although I assume many may disagree.

Movies are meant for enjoyment, not to make you think. Lol :p
