Here are some movies I want to see be revisited and brought back The Goonies. Several years ago is was greenlit and almost happened but they shut it down. All the original kids would be the parents and their kids would now be the adventurers . Could of been great. Friday. Wanted to see another Friday and again couple years ago it was about to happen with Chris tucker but Chris backed out because he has yet to receive payment for the first movie because it did so well and Chris didn't get anything accept a small check from before t was released and feels like he deserves more because of how well it did and because of his performance it led to two others . I understand where he's coming from . xXx. While thinking of Ice Cube movies he starred in the second triple X and I actually liked it as much as the Vin diesel original . Would be cool to see them both in a third to complete a trilogy. Cabin Fever . Ide like to see the original totally redone by another great director . I hate sequels that are made that have the crappiest plot. This had the crappiest sequels besides Wrong Turn which I wouldn't mind seeing again redone. Night of the Living Dead. With today's makeup artist and CGI and with the progression of zombie movies and shows this could be legendary. Man I would help kick starter fund and petition fund for this. Sandlot. For my kids sake and mine this would be amazing . This movie had a big impact on me. Our neighborhood would literally get together everyday of each summer and play baseball from sunup to sundown and then this movie came out with legendary quotes . It felt like it was made for us. We had 30 kids playing and you don't see that anymore. Please add to the list on what you would like to see done.
Instead of remaking classics, I wish Hollywood would remake things that sounded cool but ended up sucking. Like Elysium or Prometheus. Give 'em one more chance. Of course, that hasn't helped Fantastic Four, so maybe not.
It the motive for remakes was due to the people involved really loving the movie and wanting to make it better I'd be keen, but of late they just seem to be high budget cash-ins that really lose any sense of identity, pacing and charm. Time for new IP.
Back to the future! They should have released it this year. Remake these better this time... Dragon Ball Z Street fighter! Super Mario bros.
Unbreakable needs either a sequel or a remake... Or both. But maybe not by M. Night Shyamalan coz his work's pretty much a miss after his few hits. Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Flame needs a second season or a reboot.
I disagree with most of the options here because the success of the originals is largely due to a great combination of script, director and actors that just worked. I guess Goonies has the most to gain because the original was crap. Also, Night of the Living Dead isn't a bad choice, but that had a remake last year. A sequel to Unbreakable would be great though. IIRC M Night Shyamalan always intended it as the first in a series.
