I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.... Im very much looking forward to the premium purchase option. Are you planning on any sort of endless or procedurally generated modes?
Just tried the beta, great game! I like the timer freemium model. I got up to level 7 in half an hour. I think the degree of difficulty is perfect. I think the level design is fantastic. For example, I liked how lvl 1 teaches you about AP management. The most obvious solution makes you run out of AP, which makes you stop and think harder about an optimal solution. And then lvl 6 teaches you to worry about your own king. Etc. Etc. The music is perfect and chill, and the graphic design is familiar and comforting (reminiscent of old PC chess games). One bug I saw: in the dialog box below the chess board, when I press continue, the full message flashes on the screen before it starts scrolling in.
I'm stuck on level 11. I'm not understanding how to influence the opponent to move in such a way as to trap itself, since only one of my pieces is within reach. Edit: finally did it. This game is so good.
So glad you did it! Level 11 introduces an important concept: deflection. Note: Final version is going to have one hint per level, so this hints will make the eureka moment somewhat easier to happen... We are really happy with some of the levels, designing them is simply a blast. After initial release we are thinking on daily challenges... and after that... community levels someone? But first thing first, initial release with 64 levels, one IAP to remove timer and ads and polishing here and there. Cheers guys!

Daily challenges would be good. Anything to extend its long term replayability after levels are completed

Great! The game has been running smoothly with no issues. It's so much better with the removed timers! I can relax and think (still stuck on level 16)
