I think it would be a good idea to move the threads for already released games in the upcoming games thread to another sub forum or something in order to make it much easier to see upcoming games. This would reduce a bunch if clutter and would make things much more organized.

Generally we try to lock threads in the upcoming section for games that have been released worldwide.

If the game is released worldwide and the upcoming thread is still active, you're welcome to remind people to post in the release thread. Or report the thread (preferably with a link to the release thread) and we will most likely lock it.

The problem with this is that the TA forums rank real well in Google searches, and it's nice to have the first page of a game's thread be as relevant as possible for people coming in off Google in the hopes that they sign up and stick around. (This is also why we often will delete a lot of the zero-content "Neat!" "Looks cool!" and similar posts early in a thread.) If you're searching for a game on the App Store and want to know more about it, wading through what for popular games amounts to dozens and dozens of posts of people just posting they're looking forward to the game doesn't seem like valuable information to newcomers.

I do like the idea of consolidating all the chat about a specific game to one thread, but dividing it between pre and post launch seems to be working pretty OK right now.
