Really, gosh) I’ll just leave my “nope. Nopety nope nope nope” here, having just had a look at the frankly vomitworthy IAP list. I’m too old to pay for grinding in time, and too boring to spend £££ on “tokens” that disappear in fifteen seconds. Good luck to those who dive in! Ringerill Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2012 315 170 43 #7 Ringerill, Mar 6, 2020 Good of you to tell us that! The devs announced a multiplayer feature a long time ago and it makes sense of releasing it as a different app. But I was also afraid of the possible F2P features and it looks like this is the case. I have read some reviews, and people also mostly complain about the IAPs, the lack of novelty and the recurrent crashes/bugs (making you lose your tokens and progress in the process). This simply reminds me of "F1 Manager" which was crippled with F2P/P2W and bugs that made you lose your tokens... Here, the IAPs are: - Premium currency (possible to get some via adds and daily rewards) - Cash (possible to grind) - Liveries (cosmetics + cash/premium) - VIP monthly subscription (8€ for bonus materials, XP boost, banner and daily cash/premium reward) - Starter packs (premium and cash) The possible uses of Premium currency: - XP boost (not a bonus but a direct increase of XP points) - Materials (for crafting and improving parts) - Cash (used for everything...) All in all, it looks like if you can pay, you can get boosted all the way to the top with hight level drivers, top quality parts. Because of course there are timers for everything too: research, construction... Even the premium currency shop is on timers probably to say "See, you can't Pay to Win without restrictions, you can only pay so much every day... MM4 will be the "ultimate", but i am afraid the online version will be successful enough commercial wise (of course this scenario is good for the studio and they deserve it) in order to think again about a premium game... In any case, fingers crossed, as i love all the other versions of MM. Rocksaint Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 666 367 63 #11 Rocksaint, Mar 9, 2020 I have been playing this since launch (even played it a bit during it's soft launch) and it's not too bad. Yes, it throws it's evil F2P stuff on your face but I am able to overlook that because of its polished design and overall gameplay. (It's MM after all) It has a good sense of progression to it and has a lot of decision-making involved as you gradually develop your team in every aspect. As long as you're not too competitive and are expecting to win every race or be on the podium, it's worth checking out. No harm since it doesn't cost you anything apart from your time. P.S. If you wanna connect with FB, do it at start, or else it starts with a fresh progression. You can retrieve your device progression back if you decide to undo this. Weird that this wasn't tested better. Already informed the Devs about it. Hope it's fixed soon. Could be either. But I'd like to think it's against real time human players. To me, it doesn't make much of a difference as I'm mostly preoccupied with my two drivers and their different strategies. And of course, at times there's even rain to just add that little bit of more drama. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
