I've just submitted an update which is purely performance focused for now, no new features yet. I decided it was best to fix some of the issues people were seeing and I managed to save 3.5mb of memory usage which should make the game more stable. There's more on it's way!
You are the man Christian! I love supporting an indie developer who cares about what the players think and takes real pride in their game. I've been playing all day and can't get enough. Quick question on the young driver thing: will existing young drivers improve their stats when I upgrade the program or do need to promote a new one after I upgrade?
Whoot! Just won the US championship, both driver and constructor... Now to Asia, love this game.. Worth every cent!
I have a question, is it best when you win 1 tournament to goto the next on the same level? I've been jumping up tiers and working my way up unsure if that's better
I've been completing each championship at the same level then moving up. It gives you a lot money to dump into headquarters and things like better engineers etc. I often find myself in a slight monthly loss but keep extra cash to buffer this. Also if you complete your sponsor goals I end up on the plus side anyways
Yep, from the so called 'big ones' all you get is 'pay to win' shit ... look at EA, Ubisoft, GL etc. pp. Without small companies and 'one-man shows' iOS gaming would be dead for me.
Still really interested in this but a few things people mention make me want to wait for some updates. Things with firing drivers but not being able to see who will be available if you do and other small niggles I've seen.
It's a game for cristsake. Don't take it so seriously. Get it. It's fun and you'll most likely love it.
Agreed. Don't wait for the game to be "perfect" before considering buying it. You'll miss out on a lot of fun already, it's absolutely brilliant. This should definitely have been GotW.
The voting hasn't started yet as it's only just come out but it's nominated, make sure you vote once the poll starts
Suggestion: Amend the overtake notification/alert timing so it shows after or at the same time as the event unfolds on the track. At the moment, the alert displays and then a couple of seconds later you see it on the track which makes no sense as this takes away some of the excitement of the race. Great game though. We'll done!
Christian, any chance you could let us know what issues have been fixed so far please? Have you read all the pages on here and read all the suggestions ect.. ?
Suggestion: As a manager, we are given a contract and can be hired/fired by other teams. Sorry, should have put this on my previous suggestion post. Cheers
I think you should take any moment you spend on this earth seriously. Whether it's a tragedy or you spending time with art for entertainment. Life's short enough to not want to waste a second of it (especially given that we have to waste a lot of seconds already). A more critical outlook on the game, I can offer after quite a lot of invested playing time: After all, it's just a "bar filling game". There is some interesting strategy intitially, but it wears off very quickly. The higher tiers don't get harder, they just take more time. When you're new, the best strategy won't work, because your stats are too low. So you grind one or two seasons for money and upgrade facilities/staff/drivers. Then you can win with the same simple strategies as before (or grind another year and win with no effort at all). There's not too much strategic depth or possibilities. It was neat for a few days, but I feel like I've already seen it all basically. Well, that's what you get. A focus on fantasy simulation, while sacrificing gameplay depth. That's most modern video games really. And this is definitely among the better ones.
