A little late to the party, arent we? First [app]Pennies[/app], then [app]Night Stand[/app], and now this? Is the 420 thing still amusing anyone? And are there any other apps that I've missed? [app]Pennies[/app] [app]Night Stand[/app] [app]Arcade Clock[/app] * * Bonus points to Arcade Clock, for also using the second most annoying icon trend: Using the name of your app in the icon in a completely uncreative way, despite the fact that it will appear below. (Credit our very own Oliver and the Iconfactorys Gedeon Maheux for spotting this trend.)
Wait... isn't 4 20 a bad thing? I absolutely hate icons with text in it. for example Alien Mangle, Auto Mangle, I don't remember much since i've haven't had my ipod Touch for a month.
How, why and when is 4:20 bad? Never heard that one before?? Agree with the text thing tho, but AutoMangle is ok.. (as it's hardly noticable)
oh thanks, skipped over that one.. Interesting.. Well, I guess you may as well do whatever it takes for something to standout to as many people as possible..
I think the word SALE or LIMITED TIME (in that case: words) plastered over the icon is more annoying, but I'm glad it doesn't show up when you install it on your iPhone/Touch (just in iTunes). 4:20? I'd say "I'm surprised they made it through the approval process", but I'm really not.
Ahh, that's what we need. A clock app that, like a VCR or crappy Microwave, lose their time every time the app starts. And it flashes. Fantastic.
a little too often in my case... *cough... cough* you gotta admit it's a little funny lol I'm curious to see what else devs will get away with... kind of off topic: a radio station here in town did a contest to see what was the most inappropriate custom license plate you could get approved from the DMV. now that's just funny lol EDIT: however I must admit the whole 4:20 bit has been done and is getting old. let's see somebody kick it up a notch! something to make the dirty old animators at disney proud lol
