Wait wait the most variations a character can have is 1 silver 2 golds right, how is Raiden 5 cards?

The trick is still working for you? I get errors and forever loading screens. And I'm surprised how hot my i6 gets with this game running :/

Nah, just me and my half explanations.

So once the Raiden challenge is up and running and we assume it follows a similar premise to Injustice and Immortals, you can take Raiden to Fusion II

Meaning you'll still need to buy another 5 to take him to max fusion.

Sorry, I often distract myself and it results in poor posts like that.

Yup, it's still working but the app closes often, meaning I may need to login 3 times to get a Gold and logging in isn't as easy anymore.

It's pretty safe to say that the developers of this game never counted on players to glitch their in-game currency (their money maker) to purchase gold packs. Gold packs are the top of the line, that is why there are silver and bronze cards with their respective characters, so you can work towards that ultimate character.

They counted on people to level up there bronze and silver cards, and work towards those gold packs as a reward when time passes. It's just like any other game that has you grinding for in-game currency — it's a business model geared with a purpose, longevity and revenues. Examples: Faction Wars and Challenges.

With that said, it's their own fault a glitch like this exist; I even use it when time allows me. However, to say there are too many golds characters, not enough souls a day, and it takes too long to get them — is sort of rushing the gun. You're missing the whole point of their business model. Having enough gold for one or two gold packs a week seems just about right for a game of this type - free-to-play.

I see your point but will add, I play games, not business models. $20 is a very decent investment I made in this title.

Lest us not forget that this is a card collecting game. What's the point if you can't collect them in a manner less than frustrating?

It's pretty clear that the game is designed around the silver tier unlike Injustice and Immortals where you MUST build a gold team to beat the later levels.

I was pretty ticked by the new currency system, but at least they evened it out by making the silver tier the useful tier and gold is truly elite now. Or would be if a bunch of us hadn't glitched their way to a powerful roster.

Although that does mix in a pretty awful pay-to-win dynamic. A person with the money could easily buy their way to an overpowered team while free players would likely end up with 1 or 2 gold cards by completion of the last tower and have a strong team of silvers for Faction Wars.

Yup, $20 is a decent investment into any game. Let's not forget though, this is free-to-play, where spending money isn't necessary to win. Choosing to spend money on a game with this kind of business model is risky.

I would agree with your second paragraph, if this game wasn't free-to-play. The whole purpose of those gold cards is to get eager players, like yourself (this we can agree? 51 gold packs?), to want to collect all those gold cards faster. In order to truly do that legitimately AND faster, we'd all have to buy their in-game currency. Thus, they win or at least their business model wins.

I agree, you don't need thousands of gold cards to beat the game. Having a strong silver team is very doable in collecting and that team can no doubt beat the game.

For some, just beating the game is enough. For others who get addicted to the card collecting aspect of the game, they will suffer because those gold cards are suppose to be harder to get if you're unwilling to spend lots of money on in-game currency.

Psssh. If only the ally activated before I got my ass kicked that'd be great.

Been waiting on receiving my souls purchased for about 15-25 dollars since the 9th-10th and after hearing from WBSupport they went dark until today I got an automated message about "next update will support restore
IAP if I purchased a starter pack" um.... that wasn't my issue. So ended up going through Apple and got a refund, think I'll spend this on CoC instead I should have given that game a better chance.

Maybe I'm a pessimist but with the state the PC version is in, who knows what a hack, cheat, and bugfest this will continue be on IOS. :/ Sad since I don't mind the Injustice model even if dumbed down a bit, I do enjoy "card collector" type games but such an immense amount of bugs and server issues is just too damning.

I was pretty much ok not expecting anything a week after release but they've had time to address some of the issues.

I'm enjoying the game overall but there is a lot of typical WB antics going on. Buggy release, going dark on any information, issues with the console release, etc.

SOME of the problem I'm sure is demand as they're overwhelmed with the number of players connecting. However, that doesn't explain all of the problems.

I don't know why or how, but I decided to give this game a 2nd go and re-downloaded. This time I got Kano instead of Johnny Cage and I was able to sync my WB profile to the local save.....then today when I logged in, I had 11 messages that contained coins and souls....holy crap, I landed a Possesed Kenshi and a silver Sonya. Extremely happy, and am debating if I'll drop a $20 for Scorp or Sub. For everyone having problems, it is random when the servers work, but when they do, the game is brilliant.

EDIT: Feel free to add me, Chieftain in-game. Possessed Kenshi = for sure win

Marvel CoC.....let me save u an investment that you'll be mad about later.....go play Marvel Mighty Heroes instead and throw $5-$10 at that when characters u like are available (they rotate pretty frequently). That, technically speaking, is a much better investment if ur spending money...at least their lottery system works out to good characters and a much better implemented "same character burn" reward system.

Now this game, on the DC front and compared to CoC (does anyone get a kick out of what saying that is? Lol) is far better. Being able to buy the characters u want....can we get the store of this game with CoC's controls??

As much as I want to like MKX, I guess I'll wait until it stabilizes. Back to injustice for me!

BTW, double credits on injustice for the next 50 or so hours. So for those still playing it time to stock up! :)

She is undoubtedly the best character.
It's proving a tough one to promote her though.
Possessed Kenshi is an excellent card though and I've managed to get three of him and would definitely recommend him to others.
