Raiden will probably be NetherRealm. I'm guessing there will be a silver Raiden and at least one (maybe two) golden Raidens once the Raiden Challenges are available.
Raider will be another faction. Gods or something. If you go to your kollection and click filter you can see the icon for it. Lightning bolt in a circle.
That comment is priceless. It would be extremely bad if they reset everyone's stats due to the log-in glitch. I would imagine they would do so only if they felt all the glitchers had a huge leg-up when Raiden Challenge and Faction Wars go live.
Although some people have obviously already checked, Tower Guide is now up to Tower 20 FYI - I checked today. 33 towers in total. Really hoping the fact that the last tower doesn't crumble is a feature and not a bug. Would be nice to have some way of farming souls after the glitches are patched.
They could make it more challenging, but what about those who don't use or know of the log-in glitch; those who have legitimately played the game since release. Wouldn't you consider making those challenges MORE difficult, because glitchers have accumulated MORE golds, unfair to the legit players? With over 5 million players, so they say, it's probably safe to assume there are far more legit players than glitchers.
I get what you are trying to say so don't take this as an attack. I think players exploiting glitches are still legit. They've found an advantage in the game. An unintended one and something that obviously needs to be fixed, but it is not the same thing as people who hack games to give themselves an advantage. I feel no guilt about exploiting the glitches. I've spent real money on the game, I've supported them. Even spent money on the starter packs. My conscience is clear. At the same time, I do wish they would fix this simply because it is such a glaring mistake. What really bothers me is why didn't they just copy whatever they did for Injustice or Immortals. Both of those games recognize your login and you have to logout in order to log back in. MKX seems to keep you logged in, but won't recognize you trying to login again. Plus the reset of the "test your luck" and daily bonus missions implies other issues that were already solved in existing Netherrealm/WB games. Some of the bugs like allies or Faction Wars not being ready is frustrating but understandable. Those are new features. Some of the other problems are ridiculous considering earlier games did not have the same issue.
No worries. When I say "glitchers" it is NOT meant with ill will. It's simply a shortened name to explain a rather lengthy explanation if it wasn't in the English language. Also, I have used the login glitch, but not to an extreme extinct where I even have ONE leveled up gold character. I find that exploit to be too cumbersome and time consuming, but more power to those who spend the time farming souls in this manner. Anyways, the subject isn't if the glitchers are justified or not, so I don't want to go down that path. I just wanted to explore the idea, what if they reset all the stats because of this glitch? I don't think they would, but I would also consider it extremely unfair if they increased the future challenge difficulties because of the glitch players having more gold cards.
Well, I think your original point is valid. Of 5 million downloads the people who are exploiting glitches are probably a pretty small minority. I think it will make Faction Wars a bit unbalanced when it launches on mobile, but I think over time it should balance out as players level up characters, amass gold characters, or just outright buy their way to the roster they want. If they address the issues this game has potential to have legs like Injustice. Trying to alter challenges to address an imbalance caused by their own mistakes is going to have a negative impact on people who were simply unaware the glitches were there.
I agree 100% with your second paragraph. No need to add further details, well said. From a business perspective, they are losing revenues because of the bugs and increasing expenses to thin out the bugs. Anytime a business model loses profits is a bad situation, especially with a exploit like the login technique to farm souls. Imagine the profit they would be getting from just the few Touch Arcade players here that used the glitch tremendously. Translate all there souls farmed into money that would have otherwise been spent on soul packs. I would consider their initial release a failure in the regards to their business model of IAP and free-to-play. If players can exploit there only way of getting revenues, IAP's, that is a huge no-no.
I also spent real money on this game and personally I have no qualms about the glitch. I started my gaming during the cartridge era with the NES and Genesis. Those games were rock solid, beta tested until most bugs were eliminated. That level of quality checking does not need to exist with DLC I guess but certainly these studios should have their own tolerances? But I will say that I enjoy the glitch because I can't see anybody gaining every single character and promoting them to fusion VII by playing legitimately.
I hope getting gold cards in the silver packs isn't a glitch either. I like the suspense of possiblely getting a gold card whenever I purchase one. I JUST got my first gold in one too! It was a Cryomancer Sub-zero! As for the login glitch, I agree with everyone else. It's not like a quick hack that gives you a ton of souls. People still need to work and grind (and deal with server issues) ad nauseum
Tactical gives +1 starting energy for all covert ops on team. It doesn't say it, but it does. (as a result, you can X-ray combo with Kenshi at the start of each fight)
I thought you needed 3 full energy bars to use a characters x-ray ability. How does giving +1 at the start of a fight translate into using an ability that requires 3? Do you mean combining tactical with other +1 characters?
Agreed, I spend a lot of money on games. It's the only thing I spend money on. I want to spend money on this game but with my device overheating and the connection issues and missing features I won't spend a dime. On another note I got 25k in koins and got 10 souls. I played a few rounds and the game crashed. I restarted and I got another 25k koins and another 10 souls. I'm happy for today. Lol
No, they aren't losing much money. I've spent $5 on gold koins, but the hundreds of souls I've farmed I'd have never purchased in the first place, and neither would a majority of other players I suspect. Sucks for them, but hopefully this is yet another reminder to game devs everywhere: don't release an unfinished product. Sadly, corporate often has unrealistic expectations, and studios' reputations suffer as a result.
