Love the concept of Morphite, but I think there's a lot of busted stuff in this game. I have pages of rare scans, have been to many conversion chambers, including the one you mention on Jorla, and don't see any indication of how they're used... unless... the ones in your possession determine what upgrades are available in the chambers. Still, available upgrades for visor/armor/boots seem random, based on the particular chamber. Also, there are some real issues with state: subtasks not updating or getting arbitrarily reset, items remaining in inventory after tasks are complete (Robot Head), broken logic and progression stoppers... As far as I can tell the Dagala mission is totally borked.
to use a rare scan just walk into a conversion chamber. It will show if you have an available upgrade. Then you need the right amount of resources to activate it (kitcat tells you this in the Jorla mission) Mission items always remain in your inventory - but it should say 'delivered' for instance if you brought the head back to the robot. The mission items section is more to say 'i acquired this thing for this mission' as they are not items that are used for any purpose other than the story. Can I ask, what is happening to you on the Dagala mission? I played through it a few times in the latest build and didn't see any issues there. Spoiler You have to go find the combustion capacitor, then go back and deliver it to the Feline king. Then win the race. After you win the race, you go get the platform gun and go back to the planetarium.
Thanks for the reply, Josh. Never mind I went back and found Spoiler the power trigger that drops the grey partition in the morphite door room.
Internet connection required? Sorry to repeat my question from a few days ago. Hope someone can answer me... Can I play this game offline? This game looks awesome and I'd love to sink my teeth in it while commuting...
This is a great game! Is anyone else having issues with their iPhone 7 Plus getting really warm when playing? Eats my battery too! This would be the perfect game for the Switch!!
I ended up using it too, because without activating it, battery drains up real fast. How many FPS of difference are there? From 60 to 30? At the beginning I noticed it, but I got used real fast to the battery save activated graphics and now I always play with it on (unlike Neon Chrome, where the FPS drop too much for me when battery save mode is active).
The upgrade chambers only show upgrades IF you have the materials needed in inventory, even if you don't have enough, i think you have to have at least one of each for the upgrade to show up. I could be wrong, but I believe any chamber will allow you ALL the possible upgrades, as long as you have the mats.
Having problems with robot head mission. I died as I killed it first time and it said I got the head, I reloaded and it wasn't in my inventory. Everything I've tried since and I can't get the head to drop again.
When you say you died as you killed it - what did you mean that you had killed? If you can, I would try restarting that mission (don't use your checkpoints) and try grabbing the head again.
when a tradeship appears it would be helpful to be able to check your inventory. or something like: buy: x you have : 20 (for example)
Tried using checkpoint and tried not using checkpoint. Cutscene with headless robot comes up both times. In the temple that floating thing that sucks you toward it and tries to kill you that dropped a head the first time, hasn't dropped anything since.
Premium iOS Gaming Done Right Thank you Josh, and your dev team for the game. As a supporter of premium iOS games, it was an instabuy from me. I have sunk a lot of hours already into the game, and I love the casual exploration experience. It fits perfectly for a mobile game. Do you plan on bringing base building? I know it can get complicated but I don't mean Minecraft level construction. Maybe the ability to build a cozy little hut on the planet, or a mining facility that will generate resources slowly overtime based on the biome and planet. My only criticism is the space aspect seems to be lacking. The space battles feel a bit weird with my ship being stationary. Also, it would be great to fly around the current system (basically more direct control of the ship). Anyway, great game, It can only get better from here. Cheers Josh.
Base building would really be hard because the random planets randomize all of their stuff every time you go to them. We'd have to find a way to lock the planets down so that they don't change their seed. Space is something we are thinking about for sure - but there are some other lower hanging fruits that we need to work on before any of that big stuff! One thing we're experimenting with right now are random temples. Also thanks!
Problem solved, thanks for the help josh! I have no idea how I got the head when I died in the temple.
