Looks like a No Man Sky for mobile. It's tremendously good! Just hope it won't be plagued by the "Exciles" syndrome of a pretty, but empty world.
The game is heavily inspired by Metroid Prime - but the fact that you can explore random worlds is making it a bit of a hybrid.
I second, third and fourth this. I was a HUGE fan untill exiles... One the bright side, this looks gorgeous!
Well you might be happy to know at least that this isn't made by the developer of Exiles. Its made by We're Five Games (with me doing design and other things) they developed a game called Hammer Bomb which seemed to be pretty well loved in reviews.
I don't quite understand the mass hate for exiles. Anyway, this looks great. Looking forward to this one!!
The trailer showing the first person view of the craft and the light speed jump looks really cool. Will you be able to fly to the surface of the planet seamlessly, seeing the clouds and mountains appear , just before you land? Thanks
Morphite as mobile No Man's Sky This project is becoming something really special. Even the press is starting to compare Morphite to a much desired mobile No Man's Sky now: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPad/Morphite/news.asp?c=70798 Of course Morphite will have its own identity and people make the comparison not as criticism but as praise. If Josh, Crescent Moon and We're Five Games realize the gem and potential they have on their hands they can surely develop this and improve the roadmap into something great. I for one would be willing to wait for longer to an even better and larger game with more freedom of exploration, replayability and an open world.
Very excited for this one. My old potato 4S won't possibly be able to handle it, but I really hope my iPad 3 with iOS 7.1.2 will. Fingers crossed here...
I think they said IPAD 4 at least, so maybe I would venture to guess even IPAD 3 would be supported due to the nature of these graphics. If you look at the PC requirements for No Man's Sky for example, they are quite minimal for a next gen game.
